A Brit who stayed in the same holiday flat as Madeleine McCann has told how he spotted creepy strangers lurking nearby BEFORE she vanished.
Paul Gordon said he was worried the dodgy-looking people had no business to be at the Portuguese complex.

Madeleine McCann: Portuguese police investigation is branded a fiasco
Emily Nash In Praia Da Luz 31/01/2008
The Madeleine McCann investigation was branded a "fiasco" yesterday after Portuguese police admitted they forgot to send a demand to England for alleged evidence.
A letter of appeal to seize Kate's diary, Gerry's laptop and Madeleine's Cuddle Cat toy is still in Lisbon.

"McCann suspect move 'too hasty'
The decision by detectives to make Madeleine McCann's parents suspects in her disappearance was too hasty, Portugal's top policeman has said. ...
...In an interview with Portugal's Radio Renascenca being broadcast on Sunday, Mr Ribeiro, national director of the PJ - Portugal's equivalent to the CID - stressed he did not give his officers orders about who should be named an arguido."

since it seems that there is a lack of interest here lately, I'll go ahead and post what I find:
http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/...and-Yard-probe
"SCOTLAND Yard is being urged to investigate the disappearance of Madeleine McCann as the flawed Portuguese police inquiry appears doomed to failure.
Retired Chief Superintendent Dai Davies, former head of the Yard’s Royal Protection unit, says that if the Yard can send detectives to probe the assassination of Benazir Bhutto in Pakistan, then they should also fly to Portugal to try and solve the Madeleine mystery. ..."

Excellent article.
These possess a very strange line of reasoning. Sometimes I am convinced that Francisco must have a degree in "obscure and not relevant information"

[quote]The McCanns' legal moves against Express Newspapers were reported by Private Eye this week, although Mitchell said the magazine's claim that the McCanns were seeking Ł4m in damages was "wildly speculative".
He added that any damages won would go back into the Find Madeleine fund, which currently stands at Ł544,000 - nearly half the Ł1.2m it started with.[unquote]

I know I've said it before, but it bears repeating.
If the McCanns had "nothing" to do with little Madeleine's 'disappearance', they sure had a lot to do with not looking after their child.
I don't know of any parents who would leave a toddler alone in an unsecured flat in a place that they didn't even know. Inviting disaster is one phrase that comes to mind.
So they had to have a party, so they thought Madeleine was fine, unwatched, un-secured, just left there to "sleep" while they had their dinner party. Who on earth would leave a toddler unwatched, whether she was asleep or not??? It's all very well showing those photos of Mother kissing her daughter's favourite toy. Where was she when her daughter met her end? Partying it up. That is, if one believes the story to start with.
Well, I don't need to say much more - look at how it ended.
IMO, at best they're guilty of neglect - at worst... I can't even want to imagine it.

I don't know what you mean by that, CAT TOY.
If I've done or said something I shouldn't, perhaps you'd care to tell me what it is. I've no idea what the reference to "paid Mccampers" and "socks and rope in an estuary" means.
Maybe I don't understand this new concept of a discussion board "under discussion links".
A discussion is a discussion generally based on opinions and sometimes supported by links, but not necessarily generated by them.
Whatever - believe me, I won't interject again. You can discuss it with yourself under discussion links to your heart's content.

Hi Lili,
I know you asked CAT Toy but i noticed you didn't get an answer.
I think CAT TOY was just pointing out that this is a LINKS ONLY thread, (so we can get all the news articles without having to scroll though discussions).
The discussion is at the March thread below.

Madeliene is Dead..
Madeleine is dead and her body was concealed within three quarters of a mile from where she disappeared along the coast. At least one member of the Tapas nine group know where her body is buried..

McCanns want to copy USA Amber alert system for Europe
‘…They told lawmakers in the European Parliament that the system could be modeled on a similar program in the United States, the so-called "Amber" alert. They noted that the U.S. program helped recover 68 kidnapped children in 2007 -- and several hundred over the past five years…’

I didn’t know it had been reported by the Daily Mail that Kate McCann had refused to take a polygraph after she was made an official suspect because the results would not be admissible as evidence to a Portuguese court.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/liv...n_page_id=1770
A good idea, but promoted by someone still under suspicion in the disappearance of their own child.
