Good Morning!
Motion hearing tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. The hearing is in regards to the video of Casey's reaction to news of the discovery of Caylee's remains and if it will be made public.
It has also been reported JB will introduce the DP qualified attorney.

I think Casey is showing true emotion at that point. George caught her off guard with his comments. Was Casey's reaction in the jail similar? If it was, I don't believe JB would be fighting the release of the tape.
JB has been very quiet the last week or two. Is it because he is concerned over the complaints filed with the bar or has the new DP qualified attorney told him to shut up?

I just noticed in the link above Casey told friends she miscarried Brandon Snow's child on Valentine's Day. IIRC, she said Caylee's father died on Caylee's birthday. It must have been easier for Casey to keep her lies straight if she connected the event to a special day/holiday.
There is also a quote from the party host, Iassen Donov, in the article:
Donov also has a theory about what happened to Caylee.
"I think she killed her kid. I don't think anybody else was involved," he said.
Links to Donov's IM with Casey: http://www.docstoc.com/docs/5803027/...h-Iassen-Donov

why do i get the feeling, that the reason Baez is/was waiting to announce this DPQ attorney, is because he had to interview several to find one that would agree to just sit as a "puppet" while Jose pulls all the strings and works the mouth?

Judge rejects killer's claim that attorney Jose Baez was 'defective'
http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/...,7657466.story
From the link. Bolding is mine.
" A Lake County judge has rejected a motion for a new trial filed on behalf of a man serving 15 years for killing a toddler and who blamed his conviction on the "defectiveness" of attorney José Baez."

Good morning all,
I agree, if Casey's reaction was simular to her reaction in the above tape, there would be no reason for Baez to fight to keep it out...She showed a little compassion for her daughter at that one moment with George.....However I'm prone to think that her reaction to Caylee's remains being found are not that compassionate and rather obviously rehearsed for that moment if it would occur...
Just like she thought thru everything else (but never the consequences) she also thought thru how she would react if told that Caylee's remains were found.....
I hope they release it to the public....so all can see....
I also believe your later reason for Baez shutting up....he was probably told to.....

It makes sense to me.
I agree that is why Casey reacted, but I think JB could twist it and say Casey was reacting to a baby's body being found that close to her home and she feared it was her precious daughter, Caylee. IMO, those that believe in Casey's innocence will see it as a grieving Casey and not a panicked Casey.

I agree...Baez is not giving up that seat for anyone or anything.....He didn't go thru all this to take a back seat....He has to find that puppet, but I doubt that it is going to be easy.....

That is my therory as well....I believe that she was under the impresson that "no body, no case"....although she was wrong, it would have been alot tougher to convict on muder one without a body.....Which is why the whole family was on a crusade to prove Caylee was still alive (with all those staged sightings).....Once the body was discovered Casey knew it was the end for her....and that would have been the reaction she showed....
This is a woman who partied while her child "supposedly" was missing, who never reported her child missing, who lied to LE about having spoken to her daughter the very day that she was finally reported missing.....(that was her last attempt to try and convince everyone that Caylee was indeed alive), she probably thought that LE would believe her and call off the search....But it didn't work....

Happy Tuesday, all
I don't know enough about the case to decide how I feel about the motion being rejected, but I sure do like seeing 'Jose Baez' and 'defective' in the same sentence.

It's BATED, silly lizzard!
Bated:
1. To lessen the force or intensity of; moderate: "To his dying day he bated his breath a little when he told the story" George Eliot. See Usage Note at bait1.
2. To take away; subtract.

5k a month to the Anthony's? For what? Geez. I can understand some sympathy back in the day when they were fake searching and couldn't work but does this mystery family plan on taking care of the Anthony's for the rest of their life because their Daughter killed their Grand Daughter. They need to get back to work!!!
