The article said there wasn't a suicide note and a reason for the killings wasn't clear. It's as clear as the nose on my face. The wife was leaving (whether permanent or temporary) and taking the kids and he wasn't going to let that happen. Didn't need a suicide note, cuz doesn't sound like it was planned. Coward. Kill your family and then kill yourself. @ least no one has to waste tax money on jail, trials, execution, etc. Of course, it's CA--execution wouldn't take place for the next 80 years or so.

CA? Uhm... From what I have read, this took place in Florida.

My heart goes out to the 13 year old son who witnessed what his father did before he escaped..

I don't think we should be putting his MySpace page on here. It's a violation of his privacy.

I don't believe anyone has an expectation of privacy if they have a profile on a public website and leave it public instead of making it private. JMO.

Flamming Mad Florida man kills wife, 2 kids, himself, officials say

http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/05/04/...ing/index.html

(CNN) -- A man shot and killed his wife and two of their children and then killed himself in central Florida on Sunday night, authorities said.
It is beyond my understanding why a man would shoot and kill his 5-month-old baby boy, his 7-year-old baby boy, try to kill his 13-year-old son, shoot his wife and then turn the gun on himself," said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd. "There is no explanation for that."

The shootings happened in Lakeland, Florida, just east of Tampa.

I agree only because it is a minor but it is open for anyone to see so it is not a violation of privacy when it is on the net..Just no names can be posted

I have to agree it is public and on the net we just can not put names of minors IIRC...pretty much anything on the net is open to the public I keep my kids set to private...

It may be legal to post a link to his MySpace account but given the circumstances, I think the moral thing to do is to give the kid his privacy. He is not the one who massacred his entire family...it was his stepfather.
I sincerely hope he has family and friends that he is close to that will be able to get him the help he is going to need to get through this nightmare.

I almost didn't post the link because of his age and I knew I'd get a lot of negative feedback.
Since I'd already looked and wanted to post what I found, I figured I might as well post the link and let the chips fall where they may.
I didn't know who his her Ed Geir was so I googled it and he was worse than Manson.
It was sad, his step mom was his number one friend on his space.

I really do have morals, it just kinda freaked me out when I saw his heroes. My understanding is that he was the only witness and sole survivor. I guess I'm jaded, because I see him as a suspect.

I agree, but it wasn't his stepfather. His real father killed his stepmother and 2 siblings.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was LOOSELY based on Ed Gein. Mostly it was the condition of the house. Gein was one strange human being (if you could call him that).

At the link in the OP it was stated that someone saw the father chasing the boy around the garage. That person said the boy was running around with his hands in the air and screaming.

I don't like the comment on his myspace, but after this, I doubt he'll be too interested in murders. When it hits home, it's no longer funny.

Not trying to be smart, but why do you think this is his my space page? I must be missing something.

I agree, though I think myspace should automatically make all under 18 pages private

All of their names are in this article: http://news.mobile.msn.com/en-us/art...55915&pg1=2501

For the record, I agree with Leanne: It's a public profile. His privacy isn't being violated here. IMO, it's the release of his full name in the above article that violates his privacy.

I didn't think about that as I was feeling a little guilty for posting it.
You made a good point, if this minors full name hadn't been released to the public, I would have had no way of verifying this was his my space.

My plea is not guilty.
