Harvey Phillip Spector

The trial is over, the jurors have gone home, and the Prosecutors have moved on. Doron Weinberg has retreated to his office/den. Mort_Snerd will cruise to another thread.

I feel no joy over the verdict, only sorrow for the victims of this crime:

First and foremost, the Clarkson family, my prayers and thoughts go with you. Your trip is not yet over but the relief in knowing that the perpetrator has been convicted will allow some comfort in fact that this crime will not be repeated by him.

Second, I hope that his Gary, Louis, Donte and Nichole will now find some measure of closure to a very public part of their lives. They did nothing to deserve this.

Third, the very Justice System itself has been insulted by all manner of distasteful things. I as a citizen, I wish to apologize to Judge Fidler, the entire Prosecutorial group and lastly to a very courageous panel of Jurors. I salute you, your honor and your wisdom.

Lastly, Harvey Phillip Spector himself. His anger, hatred and vitriol have cost him an enormous sum of respect, money, time and health. While I fully recognize that the Constitution protects you from self incrimination or testifying, this was a case of only two people and a gun. One is dead and the other knows exactly what happened. You and you alone bear the responsibility of the verdict. The Justice system has convicted you and found you guilty of Murder 2. You got off easy.

Thank you Forum reader for reading my posts and putting up with my “arrogance” and especially Coldwater for allowing us the opportunity for to discuss openly and fairly candidly.

Mort's post

Your arrogance, I think not. You are one witty, intelligent, class act from whom I've learned and laughed throughout this trial.

Mellow Not over until the sentencing.

We still need to see it all tied up nice and neat. Your posts and threads have sparked many a thought and good conversation here right from the beginning.

This place can always use a little food for thought.

~as always, Justice for Lana and those who love her ~

Thank you Mort for your wit and insightfulness. After spending so much time reading everything I could find about this trial and the last, I find myself feeling a bit sad that it has come to an end.

NOR were many posters here..because of YOU.

I'm packing mine to move...

Ya gotta be proud..you helped so many understand the evidence, Mortie. You're one to be reckoned with..if that day ever comes. LET ME TELL YOU...I'll back off!!
