I can hear it now. This guy will spend LESS THAN the 17 years in prison, what with time off for good behaviour, attending an anger management class, maybe a parenting class--probably even get a college degree in something or other. By then, of course, he will be a changed man, and will go forth and only do good deeds when he is released. NOT!!!!! And the 2 y/0 will never even get to kindergarden, let alone college.

And, he probably will have a new girlfriend, or maybe his baby momma is gonna stick by her man, and be ready and waiting for him when he gets out. If it's not too long a time, they can have a second family.

I have said this once and I'll say it again a hundred times...weak women are as much or a bigger problem than abusive men and the children are the ones who suffer.

ITA. Anytime someone is convicted of child abuse, sexual molestation or kills a child should be CASTRATED IMMEDIATELY!
I have no mercy for these people and the last thing they need to do is bring another child they can torture/kill into this world.

Maybe a darn good way to STOP repeat child offenders is to Castrate them! Just sick to death of the protect the perp attitude.
