Ben Roseland, 19, Missing 1 yr, Clinton, Iowa

I could not find a prior thread for Ben Roseland. He's been missing one year today, 2/9/09.

On the evening of February 9, 2008, Ben Roseland left a friend's house in the 400 block of 10th Avenue South, Clinton, Iowa to walk a few blocks to a grocery store.

He never made it to the store.

There has been no activity on his cell phone or bank account.

Ben is 19 years old with brown hair and blue eyes.
He stands 5' 11" tall and weighs 175 pounds.
He was last seen wearing camouflage overalls.

Clinton, Iowa is on the Mississippi River. It was snowy last February. There are reports that a shoe similar to his was found. He suffered a head injury in a car accident a few weeks prior to Feb. 9. Did that have something to do with his disappearance? There was talk about the "smiley face gang" at one point. As far as I know, no real leads have ever surfaced.

Anyone with more facts on this case... please fill in the blanks.

Ben left around 10:30 that night. I wonder why he decided to walk to the store and not ask for someone to drive him there?

I always assumed (and we all know what assumed does!) that the Hyvee store was very close. ???

I started a thread on Ben way back when, when he first came up missing. It was probably deleted for nonactivity.

The case has been a strange one from day one. Not much in way of news at the time of his disappearance, nor since then. I saw this thread and was hoping that there was some kind of break in the case.

Thinking of you Ben.....and all the missing.
