Legal question about murder by doctor

How could a doctor who murdered her husband using Phenabarbitol, Pentabaritol and valium never be charged for Abuse of drug in a felony, ffalse documenting of DEA records, off label use of a controlled substance, forging of a controlled substance, false documentation of DEA records, abuse of DEA license, Kidnapping (he had to be physically restrained. How on earth could this happen? Was there a cover up by police?

Was she convicted of murder??

If the state had an airtight case, they may have not felt a need to include less serious charges?

She was charged with 1st degree murder, tampering with evidence (throwing the body in a stock tank) child endangerment. She pled No Contest. She was sentenced to 25 years with chance of parole in 13 yrs. As far as I know the federal charges were not in the plea deal and she was never charged with them.

Were talking about a state murder charge then?

Federal charges are for federal court. If the feds know she is doing heavy state time, it is not worth it and realistic for them to file thier own charges.

I don't think the Fed's were ever notified. Definitely the DEA should be involved. I am sure there were some behind the scenes since her father worked for the prestegious and richest landlord in the area who also set her up in business and on whose property she dumped the body. He also paid for her 15 lawyers. He has a lot of connections in that area. Also her family should never had got the children since the transcript was made aware. There was something going on in that judicial system. If you want to read the story. Some links work others do not. Go the Old Cases and Trials. Convicted Murderer Wendi Davidson. Also there will be a true crime book on the market this summmer about the case. Maybe more will be reavealed.

As you know Kared, I have studied what is still available online about this case. The problem boils down to one thing. Noone knows who was involved in the plea deal except Wendi, her lawyers, the state's lawyers and the victim's father. She got out of having to admit to the crime and that boosts her appeal chances. The public did not get to see and hear the evidence because of the plea.

We don't know if the Feds, NCIS, or the DEA agreed to the plea. The DA probably went over the plea with the victim's father. He may even have gotten to read it. But noone else has the authority to find out except him or his agent.

We know she got 10 years for falsifying the controlled substances records. Problem was that she got to serve it concurrently with the 25 for murder so it adds no real time. Makes me think the DEA might have agreed to the deal.

SEPT 1, 2009 author Diane Fanning a true crime writer from Texas will have her book released. It's the story of Wendi Davidson a Texas vetenarian who injected her airforce husband with drugs that she used to euthanize anaimals. Her punishment 25 yrs in prison with elgibility for parole in 13yrs, IMO not nearly enough time for a premeditated murder.
Story on old cases and trials.

Wendi Davidson

If and when she gets out she will be able to reapply to get her VET lic. back. As i see it she should never ever be able to be in control of those drugs ever again.
She's most likely working as a VET at Gatesville Prison.
