The County Issued Laptops
Do you feel that law enforcement should have looked at all the laptops that were issued to others in the DA's office?
I had been told that Gricar had one, some of the other ADA's had one, Patty had one & had access to another for court, and other clerical staff also had one.
I think it would be interesting to learn if any of their hard drives had been scrubbed/reloaded after April 2005.

I wasn't inferring that someone else had Gricar's hard drive, only if someone else may have scrubbed their own hard drive.

A compatable hard drive found in the river long after the disappearance does not mean it was the hard drive from RG's laptop. And I remember TG got very agitated when he learned about your "inside" information regarding courthouse laptops. But could LE look at other laptops without permission or probable cause? It would be interesting to know if they tried and were refused.

I've never seen it reported "Patty had one & had access to another for court, and other clerical staff also had one," though I did hear someplace that she did use one as a W/VA. I would assume that both she and the rest of the clerical staff would have access to a desktop.
In the weeks following the disappearance, LE though RFG's laptop might have been in the Courthouse someplace.
As far as I know, LW, LE did check his e-mail (though that is being played very close to the vest).

I doubt they even tried to look.

Maybe. But if so, one could hope that does not apply to MR.

According to JKA, they did look for the laptop.
I would think that Smith, as acting DA, could have said to any of the staff, **Turn over your laptops.**
