The election is over.. you have your President elect... CW has already closed down threads that are started to continue to bash Gov. Palin.. and yet this is a BLOG..

I don't see the need to continue to bash this woman especially by someone who is writing on a blog...

Time to move on and concentrate on your new President Elect..

Blame Bill O'Reilly, it was just on his show. You can catch it when it repeats tonight.

Fox news, imagine that, seems they'll throw anyone under the bus when it suits them.

I do believe that would ruin all the fun. Don't you realize some couldn't care less about the policies that are best for the country as a whole ... they're really only here to bad mouth others, be they posters or politicians, so that they can feel superior.

The information was supplied by an "unnamed" source on the basis it not be released until after the election.

O'Reilly attempted (not very successfully) to excuse her lack of knowledge - using the "she can learn it" reason. Gov Palin is not a child. She has had ample opportunity to learn basic history and geography in her life - she has chosen not to do this. My concern doesn't relate to what she doesn't know, but WHY she doesn't know - she has shown no interest in events outside of Alaska - not a good idea for a Presidential candidate.

reporters are spilling all the juciest, and previously off the record, gossip from the campaign trail

Red face Palin Didn't Know Africa is a Continent.....

Palin Didn't Know Africa is a Continent ...says Fox News reporter.

McCain aides have leaked stunning new details about Gov. Sarah Palin to FOX News correspondent Carl Cameron, who reported tonight that during debate prep, Palin did not understand that Africa is a continent rather than a single country, and was unable to name all of the nations in North America.

Cameron also shares anecdotes about angry "tantrums" Palin reportedly threw after viewing press clippings of herself in the morning.

She is even more frighteningly clueless than we thought.

But the candidate of "Country First" wanted to put this utterly unqualified, completely farcical nominee a chicken bone away from the nookewlar codes.

What a disgrace!!

Seems the election is now over, and Sarah is no longer an issue in what will be happening in Washington DC. IMO

Guess I am saying bashing of her is uncalled for now.

That is a hilarious video of BOR. I liked the part where he said and what did they think was the problem with the Couric interview, as though there had been no problem. I wish we could have heard the rest of what the reporter was trying to say as BOR kept cutting him off.

It is an issue. She is still being promoted by some of the RW's. Just turn on the news. She asked reporters about the future Iowa Caucus and NH. So if Palin continues to make news....she is news!

Obviously there is a huge battle within the repubs right now for who controls the party, which end of the spectrum they lean towards, etc.

Last night Chuck Todd said she has essentially 6 months to get her act together....take control....put herself in position for 2012. Then someone later on MSNBC, in analyzing the repubs, said the new RNC chairman would be announced in Jan around the time of the inaug.

The point was made that through the unveiling of this new RNC guy, the party would be announcing the image of the new RP.

IMO that means will Palin be able to consolidate support in the next 2 months, or will the others more to the center, ie Romney, be able to exert influence.

I expect MANY more revelations about Palin because of this. One news report this am said that she wanted to speak Tuesday night before McCain's speech, whether it be acceptance or conceding. The staff said no, (VP don't speak on that night usually), and she appeared in front of McCain with the text of her speech in hand, and was again told no by the staff.

IMO

Every campaign self destructs if their candidate loses. The power struggles right now, if made public, would rival the Lion in Winter.

Imagine that....asking what the problem was with Couric interview?? BOR acted dumb about the Couric interview....and it only made BOR look even dumber. Typical BOR!

We will need another good laugh. My suggestion would be to send her back to school first.
If Stevens (sen) wins in Alaska, he may be expelled by the senate and then there would be a special election to replace him. Until a couple of years ago the governor could appoint a replacement, but when the then sitting governor appointed his own daughter as senator....lol they changed the law to require an election.

I don't see Palin wanting to be in the Senate, it would be far more work than the governorship is, and hard to be a "maverick" as a freshman senator who knows next to nothing, and is trying to build a power base.

I think she's pretty much off the chart for a future presidency right now. But still it's interesting to learn more about the woman who was really just one economic disaster and one heartbeat away from being president of the USA

Palin was pushing to deliver her own speech just before McCain’s concession speech, even though VP nominees do not traditionally speak on election night. Palin met up with McCain with text in hand. She was told no by Mark Salter, one of McCain’s closest advisers, and Steve Schmidt, McCain’s top strategist.

This woman was out of control...IMO I think Palin believes herself to be politically savvy...and this is one of the many examples of her ignorance and narcissism.

She'd already written the speech! Goodness, what a nerve.

I posted this in the President-Elect Obama supporters thread, but that thread moves so fast, I'll put the link here as well. The Palin as President website has been update.

(It doesn't make me laugh anymore...sniff)

Tell ya':

Just loved the video of BOR defending Sarah Palin ...in his own inimitable way. It was a hoot!

It is so difficult to watch him for any length of time...like 2 or 3 minutes..lol.

I think Palin was chompin' at the bit to be part of the concession speech making. She did look like she was sucking on lemons. No way was McCain going to let that happen.

More today is coming out about the Palin shopping spree from coast to coast.... $20-30,000 on clothing spent for the First Dude! Designer shoes for young daughter, etc. "Wasilla hillbillies shopping Neiman Marcus from coast to coast".

Allie, I'm going to keep checking for the FEC response to the CREW complaint about the travel expenses. There's no update yet, and I didn't expect one before the election. But there should be some action on the part of the FEC, since the complaint was official.

Interesting that you'd talk about how hard men make it for women to succeed in one breath and then say slam Michele Obama for her taste in clothes in the next.

Palin's taste in clothes or how she looks in them isn't the issue. It's not what most of us are discussing and it's not why this is news. It's how those clothes were paid for, which may violate election law. Her gender shouldn't excuse her from following the law.
