*am so exicted I get the laptop for a few weeks so I have a question for all of you*
Now, how do you think this law effects other cases where spouses think they can just divorce said missing spouse? What about cases like the francisco case and others, where the absentee spouse is never seen alive again?
Do you agree with this finding? I do. I think it should have to be proven in the family courts that there is EVIDENCE said spouse up and "left" or ran away in order for divorce to be granted.
Melanie McGuire said bill stuffed a dryer sheet in her mouth. Drew claims stacy just up and left him, for another man, of course.
And, christine fox claims that her husband nicholas, just never made it home from work that night. All are seeking divorces and or orders of protection......or they were. We all know that Drew cannot prove where stacy is. Just as christine cannot prove where nicholas is.
Peterson Must Prove Where Stacy Is
Suspected wife killer Drew Peterson wants to get a divorce from his missing wife Stacy, but first he’ll have to prove where she is – something the police would love to know.
Under the law in Illinois, where Peterson lives, a divorce can be granted for desertion or abandonment after a spouse has been gone more than a year – but a judge must be convinced that one party willingly walked out.
“Until Drew can show that Stacy definitely deserted him or is dead, a judge is not going to do anything,” Chicago divorce attorney Dion Davi told The ENQUIRER.
