LOL! I don't think OJ was the rightful owner of any of it. If it turns out to be that way they can send it back to the storage locker for the next 9 1/2 years !

Ok I googled around and answered my own question
It was too much trouble to get Beardsley out of jail to go to court so the hearing was set for Dec. 12. I wonder if that is still the date - and where that hearing is being held.

That's right. Same date. That's in California though. Regarding your previous post I'm only guessing that Rogers the prosecutor in this OJ caper has information that Goldman is confronting Beardsley with and they want answers. Of course it'll be "what ring" IMO, but the beat goes on
and on
and on
and on in this case LOL

So are hearings about the hall of fame ring and restitution both set for Friday, December 12th? My understanding is they are two different hearings before two different judges. OJ and his cohorts had better not have damaged Fromong's Joe Montana lithographs or dog-eared any pictures!

Just thought of this
Do you think OJ will cancel his memberships in any golf clubs he belongs to now? Or will he wait to get booted out? I'm looking forward to the news that his memberships have been cancelled for him.
Gosh - and I guess he will lose all his frequent flyer miles too!

I'm almost positive there's a cnn article regarding this except sometimes my cnn gets scripts errors and I can't get vids or articles. (live streams I always get regardless of the errors, wierd) any way If I remember correctly Beardley is supposed to be out of the joint and in a California court on Friday. Restitution hearing in Nevada on the 19th. I'll have to look up Glass's docket in a little while to see if there are any names attached. I would venture to say Cashmore and Stewart as they are the last known people to have these items. But possibly anyone on that tape seen carrying the items out.
All speculation above as I said my cnn is on the blink and I'll try to find what I can to back up or correct the above post.
Do you think this is another jury conspiracy getting these dates to coincide like the way they pulled off the verdict dates. HA J/K!

They wouldn't cancel hiim and have to refund any unused portion! Naw, I'm sure there will simply be a non-renewal for 2009, unless OJ's pride won't let him admit his appeal has a slim-to-none chance of being heard and he insists on renewing, vowing "I'll be back". I could see him playing that mind game with himself.

I apparently had my Fridays merging into one. Thanks for the clarification. I would think the co-defendents would all be as equally liable for restitution as they were for the crime(s). If Fromong wants to make a claim for medical I hope he's more aware of what forms need to be filed than he was for giving a victim impact statement! The court's victims' advocate must be as worthless there as I've found them to be in most courts. But I digress.
It'll be interesting to see how restitution in a case like this works. I hope they televise or live stream the hearing.

So B would go on the stand and say stuff like "I only called the police for insurance purposes". No word on whether he ever filed that insurance claim. Maybe they will ask him that on the 12th.

Bruce must have some really lousy lawyer if he didn't get paperwork in so Bruce could speak at the sentencing hearing. Hope they are ready for the restitution hearing!

I really do have my misgivings about this. I mean anything Beardsley says I plain and simple don't believe.
His mania is so OJ obsessed it's off the charts. My gut feeling is this is a wild goose chase. But anything is possible.

I wonder if Fromong will be reimbursed Atty fees at this restitution along with getting his property back. The items with OJ's likeness or memorabilia, I wonder how that is going to be divyed up to who the rightful owner is.
I can even recall a case this muddled with so many hands out , well unless of course it was an estate and fighting amongst family members.
This is just bizarre.

I just found this new posting, which includes Beardsley's statements regarding the Hall of Fame Ring. I thought Beardsley told another inmate, but apparently he was talking to an investigator in what he'd hoped was a "confidential" conversation. Sweet! And he implicates Linda Deutsch and Galanter!

Guess there's no 'club fed' for orenthal after all -
"O.J. Simpson Arrives at Prison Where He'll Serve Sentence
Friday, December 19, 2008
LAS VEGAS — O.J. Simpson arrived at a northern Nevada prison to serve his 9 to 33 year sentence, a Nevada corrections official said.
The 61-year-old Simpson was moved Friday to Lovelock Correctional Center, about 90 miles northeast of Reno, said state prisons spokeswoman Suzanne Pardee.
Lovelock is one of the newest and smallest prisons in the Nevada state prison system. It opened in 1995 and houses just under 1,500 inmates in two-bed cells.
Pardee said there were no problems with Simpson's transfer from High Desert State Prison, a 3,000-bed facility in Indian Springs near Las Vegas.
Simpson co-defendant Clarence "C.J." Stewart remains at High Desert pending a decision where he'll serve his 7 1/2 to 27 year term.
Both men were found guilty on Oct. 3 of felony kidnapping, armed robbery and other charges stemming a gunpoint confrontation with two sports memorabilia dealers in Las Vegas."

Co-defendant who went free in OJ Simpson case jailed on probation violation in Las VegasBy KEN RITTER | Associated Press Writer
4:51 PM EST, January 8, 2009
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A former O.J. Simpson co-defendant who was given probation after testifying against the fallen football star has been jailed and could be sent to state prison for failing a drug test, his lawyer said Thursday.
Charles Cashmore, 41, was taken into custody on New Year's Eve and faces a hearing before the judge who let him and three other men remain free after sentencing Simpson and co-defendant Clarence "C.J." Stewart to prison.
"He violated probation," attorney Edward Miley said, citing a state Division of Parole and Probation report that he said showed Cashmore had methamphetamine in his system. "The state intends to impose the suspended sentence."
In December, Clark County District Court Judge Jackie Glass handed Cashmore a suspended one-to-three-year sentence, allowing him to remain free on three years' probation if he abided by strict behavioral rules.
A hearing before the judge had was not immediately scheduled, Miley said.
Cashmore, a journeyman laborer, was the first of four accomplices to take a plea deal in the case. He pleaded guilty in October 2007 to a reduced charge, felony accessory to robbery.
He testified that he met Simpson for the first time minutes before joining Simpson and four other men in the ill-fated hotel room confrontation with two sports memorabilia dealers in September 2007. He said two other men in the group brought guns.
That undercut Simpson's insistence that no one brought guns. Simpson said he was only trying to retrieve personal mementos and family heirlooms that had been stolen from him after his acquittal on murder charges in the 1994 slayings of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman, in Los Angeles.
The Las Vegas jury found Simpson and Stewart guilty Oct. 3 of all 12 charges against them, including kidnapping, armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon.
Glass sentenced 61-year-old Simpson to nine to 33 years in state prison. Stewart, 54, was sentenced to 7½ to 27 years.
Three other admitted accomplices who turned the state's evidence in the case — Michael McClinton, Walter Alexander and Charles Ehrlich — each pleaded guilty to felony charges and were sentenced to probation.

Don't you imagine he can afford to bribe guards to bring him any of the things you mention - along with keeping a cell phone charged for him? I'm sure he's doing better than her deserves.

He has plenty of money; the Goldmans can't touch his home or his retirement income, remember? I forget the amount - about $20,000 per month. I'm sure someone can correct me on the amount.
Think of all the money he is saving not being out partying, traveling, etc. And I guess he could cancel that cable bill he is having to pay at his home in Fla. since he got caught stealing it.
We keep hearing about what some prisoners get in prison - drugs, alcohol, women - and yes, even cell phones. Of course we don't hear much about it until they get caught.... so we'll wait to hear. I imagine he has his fans among the other prisoners and even among the guards - who are paid pretty low wages and may be tempted to help him out.

I guess some of his monthly money is being used to maintain his Florida home (probably first time the cable bill has been paid ) at any rate, I'm worried about his co-conspirator arnelle. what in the world does a middle aged woman do when her daddy goes to prison and doesn't support her?
