Author Michael Crichton Dies

"Jurassic Park" author and "ER" creator Michael Crichton died Tuesday at age 66, according to his Web site.

The novelist passed away in Los Angeles after a private battle with cancer. His family said the death was unexpected.

How sad, he was a great writer, like many famous writers/actors he will live on through his work.

I first read "The Andromeda Strain" when I was about 12. It went over my head; it was much better when I reread it a few years later.

He's probably being besieged by people up in heaven who are wondering what was with that ending to "Sphere"! If you have read that, you will know exactly what I am talking about.
