No, it wasn't the same person. Clint left to move into his own place on June 30. He was not around after that. Nate was in the apartment the whole time Casey was there through July 15 and was a witness to the Casey showdown with Amy and Cindy on July 15. Also, their voices were different. They both said essentially the same story. Casey brought Caylee around a few times before June 16, then never again. Casey never acted like she was upset or anguished in the period after June 16. She cooked and cleaned and partied with them. When asked about Caylee, she would say she was at the "nanny's" or some such lie.

I'm certainly not surprised Casey told Clint one story and Nate another.

I wouldn't be surprised if Casey told Clint 3 different stories, and Nat 5 or 6 others. That does seem to be one of the talents she has...lying.

Nope and I've never heard of him until tonite??? Guess the police didnt take a statement from him initially or we would have seen it in the doc dump. I think it's strange, all this time later, he pops up, dont you?

Yes, he speaks very respectfully, using the "yes ma'ams" like Clint. He even called her "Miss Nancy," a very southern thing. But he was there after June 30, even a witness to the July 15 showdown. And his voice isn't Clint's IIRC.

This particular statement really bothered me. She felt peace watching the other children while her grandaughter according to her has been kidnapped? How? She felt as though she did something by answering messages? Not handing out fliers and asking anyone and everyone if they had seen this beautiful little girl?
I cannot begin to imagine having a missing child, the minutes must be like days and the days an eternity. How can any peace be felt while someone you love so much is not with you and who may be frightened, crying, calling for her mommy, daddy, nanna, grampa? When my baby girl died I felt as though I had died to, every moment of every day seemed hopeless, I lost my faith and for a while I lost my will to live, over time I was able to learn to breath again, slowly the will to live came back and through her I was able to find a whole new beauty in life, for her I look twice at the flowers, for her I listen extra close to the birds singing.
I know where she is, physically and I know where she is spiritually. And as hard as it was, knowing does offer a sense of peace, not knowing, I cannot imagine how that would be. Cindy, and I am talking about her because she is the one who made the statement, seems to have a peace about her, one that is not had with a missing (grand)child, but rather one that comes with the finality of knowing.
I know I have rambled and I apologize, probably does not even make that much sense. I just cannot understand this reaction, it does not seem imo, to be the reaction of someone panicked with not knowing if their loved one is ok. I am not trying to preach, I am merely speculating and trying to relate best I can by drawing on my own life experiences.

Caylee

Completely MOO, IMO
Elle, that is why I posted it....it was such an ODD thing to say.

the word peace is out of place.

although Ive never personally experienced a tragedy such as this, I can say with conviction, that peace is hardly something anyone would be feeling IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TRAGEDY.....years later maybe....if thats at all possible...but NOT a couple of weeks into the 'unknown'..

a KIDNAPPING and she feels at peace?

which leads me to your post: how unknown is her feeling in her heart and soul? IMO IMO IMO, she heard such a threat from Casey more than once.

taking some down time in the park and talking about it casually, its incredulous, esp since she was media blitzing all over the place that Casey gave as much as information as possible and now its time for LE to do its job with what she gave them.

then that evolved into: us, the world at large, LE and the media should be DOING SOMETHING! Searching!

and then she sits. and listens to voicemails and answers voicemails. she felt productive?

double talk....

my sincere condolences.

best regards,
Pru

My transcribing attempt of Nate talking to NG....

When Tony & Casey first started dating, she would bring Caylee over. They would go to the pool or Tony would take them out to eat. After a while, Caylee stopped coming over. When they asked, she was at the nanny.

Casey was there every day. Caylee was not spending the night with them. When she first started with them, she said it was due to problems at home..she did not want Caylee subjected to the environment, so she took Caylee to the nanny and Casey would stay with them at night.

They really didn't think it weird. They don't know what a 22 year old single mother does, so they didn't think it strange.

They were at class a lot, so they did not know if she was going to work. She would bring home groceries and stuff. When asked about her job if they saw her in the afternoon, she said she was working at home on her laptop.

She said she was going to back to college. She attended Olympia (not sure if that is what he said.) She said she was thinking about UCF.

Nate was at the apt. when Cindy came for Casey. Tony and Nate were playing video games waiting for the All Star Game. Casey was with them. Casey answered the door. It was Amy. Amy told Casey wanted to speak with her. Casey stepped outside. They came back in Amy and Casey followed by Cindy. Cindy asked Casey to get her stuff to leave with her. Casey did not want to leave, she would go outside to talk to them and it was the last time Tony and Nate saw Casey.

Cindy did not ask in front of them about Caylee. Cindy seemed upset.

Cindy did not ask either (Tony or Nate) to help search for Caylee.

my paraphrasing and jmo, imo, and moo

Everything about this case is strange. Wouldn't you think he and Clint would have been interviewed together?

Nate said he was there the same time Casey was there with Caylee. Tony and Nate were planning on renting new place as soon as lease was over.

Casey went about her business day to day. Tony and Nate were in class 40 hours a week. She did laundry, cooked dinner in the evenings.

While Caylee was missing she was cooking dinner, NG asked. Nate, "yea.......pasta dinners or whatever"

Casey alwasy said Caylee was with the nanny.

I do too. I'll bet you explain to him that she's where the information is, so you watch even when she annoys you. right? They just don't get it.

Well NG does have to make time for the 1/2 hours worth of commercials her show seems to run. I never seen a show with more commercial breaks.

When Nate lst heard she was missing, he thought how could she be missing. She is with the Nanny.

He has never met the Nanny. He never heard Casey talk to the Nanny. He never saw the Nanny.

I have to beg for the first 10 minutes to watch and it seem after that, you've already heard all you need to hear. I wonder if her boyfriend Tony wants to continue their relationship? Has he called, sent flowers?

I think they should stop searching

I know I will be roasted for this. But all of these resources have gone to trying to find the Caylee with no progress. The grandparents are acting ungrateful and Casey tells nothing but lies. I truly think LE should back off and say OK, that's it. Time to search for a child whose parents will appreciate it. They should just let the case go cold, as sad as that sounds. But I doubt she is alive and the grandparents can take that up with their lying daughter Casey.

part of me agrees, but another part of me screams out for the injustice of that, and the need to find this child, and find her now!!!

If Casey had just told the truth from day 1, (not day 30!!!!!) Casey would have been found. LE should not have to indulge her games of "caylee is here, no she is here, no she is here now...." for all of the parents who cooperate with the police, it's totally unfair....and it is a case of "missing white child" syndrome. i doubt this kind of coverage would be given for a black child, sorry to say.
