The parental controls on the computer don't pick up sites that are unrated as it is so even with expensive software to block this stuff, it's still pretty difficult to keep it off limits and now this will make it almost impossible!
The sites already have ways to block out the key words that I typed in as restricted and this just makes it that much easier to get around it.
The computer is in the living room in open view and my kids are limited to it's access but I can't be over their shoulders 24/7.
And what about the sites that are ILLEGAL like child porn? Wouldn't this make it easier for sick bastards like Duncan to access this stuff and go undetected?

Sorry but I strongly disagree with this feature!
OK, maybe I don't understand. Aren't you the administrator on the pc your children use?
If so, you set the internet options, they shouldn't be able to change them unless you give them admin access. So it shouldn't have any impact on what your kids see or what you can access as to where they've been, right?
As for other people, the article says LE can get the history information. It only keeps someone sitting at my computer from seeing my history when I get up. But, I already have my options set to delete all cookies and temp folders as well as history on exit from the browser, so how is this different?
