"The Gulag Archipelago" was a challenge and a strong one to the former Soviet Union claims. He had the courage to see the falsehood and state that he did.

They couldn't rule without force. If any government can live up to the claim that it's citizen's are elite, privileged and loyal, they never need to resort to mind control and torture in order to support their claims.

Freedom of press, will never be a problem to such a government.

Solzhenitsyn dared to publicly state such. He reminds me of another Jewish man, Noam Chomsky.
