Shhhhhhhhhh Toby not so happy please...lol.
We had our first preseason last night.. Niner's vs. Raider's in Oakland.. of course it wasn't sold out so the game was blacked out... probably just as well Niner's lost and we sucked big time..
Looks like a ugly season ahead... again.
Wish Joe would come out of retirement or one of his kids would grow up really quick..
SIGH....

GENE UPSHAW DIES AT AGE 63
Gene Upshaw, the Hall of Fame guard who during a quarter century as union head helped get NFL players free agency and the riches that came with it, has died. He was 63.
Upshaw died Wednesday night at his home in Lake Tahoe, Calif., of pancreatic cancer, which was diagnosed only last Sunday, the NFL Players Association said Thursday. His wife Terri and sons Eugene Jr., Justin and Daniel were by his side.
"Few people in the history of the National Football League have played the game as well as Gene and then had another career in football with so much positive impact on the structure and competitiveness of the entire league as Gene," former NFL commissioner Paul Tagliabue said.

Well, this is the last of the preseason games. Yeah. Go Titans. They play GB tonight. Dang I hope VY has a better outing than last week.
Any Cowboys fans out there. Adam "Pacman" Jones was reinstated today.
Once again, there is talk about extending the season and doing away with preseason. There are rumors it will be done sooner than later depending on the Union. I'm in favor of it. Fans pay big money to go and they don't get to see the big name players play more than a two quarters at the most. Then, the teams have to worry about those star players being hurt and possibly being lost for the season. Guess we shall wait and see.

dinojen,
Are you happy about JT O'Sullivan taking over as quarterback instead of Alex Smith? I think Frank Gore is gonna be.

Yehhhhhhhhh... I don't know... think alot of it has to do with Marx and I really really really don't like our coach... Nolan is a idiot.. IMO.
I bet JT doesn't last the whole season and the go back to Alex... who knows.. wish we could go back to the 80's...lol...wonder if Joe would come out of retirement and give up his High Blood pressure commercials and arthritis ads...lmbo... We should of cloned him...

TOM BRADY OUT FOR THE SEASON
FOXBORO - The worst has been confirmed.
Patriots quarterback and reigning NFL most valuable player Tom Brady [stats] will miss the rest of the season, the team revealed today. The franchise QB was placed on injured reserve after tests this morning revealed the damage to his left knee will require season-ending surgery.
“First we feel badly for Tom about the injury,” said Patriots coach Bill Belichick. “You hate to see anyone go down. Nobody has worked harder and done more for this team than Tom. It’s a tough setback for him. That’s obviously the bad news.”
The injury occurred when Chiefs safety Bernard Pollard dove into Brady’s left knee after being blocked to the ground midway through the first quarter of the Patriots’ season-opening 17-10 victory over the Chiefs. Brady remained on the field, clutching the knee, until the training staff attended to him. He was helped off the field and did not return.
Belichick talked about how to replace the huge void. Brady had started 128 consecutive games and was widely regarded among the top two quarterbacks in the game.
“Each guy has a job to do,” he said. “They need to do it as well as they can. That really doesn’t change. He played one position, played it very well. There will be someone else playing that position now. We have a lot of confidence in Matt (Cassel).”
Cassel came on to replace Brady and lead the team to the win. He completed 13-of-18 passes for 152 yards and a touchdown.

With only a 12 point lead, I wouldn't jinx them ...the VIKINGS have the ball.
