Texas Ranger Shawn Palmer and San Angelo Police Sergeant Jones interviewed Davidson at her veterinary clinic and eventually asked about the Sheen property and the large stock pond on it._ When the officers asked about the large pond, Davidson "became more abrupt in her answers...[and] got kind of defensive," responding that her parents also had a pond on their property and that Sheen's ranch had three ponds, not just one._ This made Palmer suspicious, and after the interview was over, he asked AFSOI agents and a police officer to set up surveillance in the vicinity of Sheen's ranch; when they arrived, Davidson was about to enter the ranch through a gate._ She was denied access, and the lake was then searched, leading to the discovery of Severance's dead body, which was stabbed 41 times and tied down with car parts and cinder blocks._ Davidson was later convicted of murder and two counts of tampering or fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair.

At least one entrance at the clinic was unlocked, and San Angelo police believe Tristan rode the four-wheeler across five lanes of traffic.Davidson initially told officers she had left the child sleeping at home while she stopped at Wal-Mart Supercenter for 15 minutes. Other officers, however, said they saw her leaving a nearby dance club.According to a complaint filed Monday in Tom Green County Justice Court, Davidson admitted she went to the dance club.It's not clear how long she was there before Tristan was found at Buffalo Wild Wings.

When the officers arrived at the ranch, appellant was attempting to enter the gate. A police officer instructed appellant that she could not enter the property because police were securing the premises for a search. After she was denied access, appellant left.That same day, Marshall Davidson, appellant's brother, contacted San Angelo police officer McGuire, advising him of the possibility that Severance's body could be found in one of the_ponds on the Sheen ranch. Davidson requested a meeting. San Angelo police officers, including McGuire, met with Davidson. Appellant and her parents were also present at the meeting. McGuire testified at the hearing that everyone was "pretty upset." During the meeting, Marshall Davidson informed the officers that they should search the pond on Sheen's property. McGuire and Palmer testified that, during the meeting, they heard appellant say to her parents: "I didn't kill him, but somebody did. I thought one of you did it, so I moved the body to protect you." Upon searching the_pond on Sheen's property pursuant to Sheen's consent, authorities located Michael Severance's body.Upon locating Severance's body, AFOSI agents ceased their investigation. San Angelo police and Texas Rangers obtained an arrest warrant for appellant and various search warrants for her clinic, home, computer, and vehicle. If Marshall Davidson was fired from his job with Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. why on earth was he rehired as deputy in the Sheriff's Department. Aren't they both run by the state? If he withheld information I don't undstand why he should have a job with the state.

Severance had been on leave from Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, and the couple was scheduled to visit Severance's family in Lee, Me., with their infant son, Shane.

*Jan. 16, 2005: San Angelo veterinarian Wendi Mae Davidson reported her husband missing since the day before. Davidson told police that her husband, Staff Sgt. Michael Leslie Severance, 24, had been acting erratically for the previous two weeks, frequenting local clubs and sports bars and disappearing for hours at a time.
* Jan. 17, 2005: Davidson filed for divorce from Severance in Tom Green County state district court.
* Feb. 27, 2005: According to a court affidavit, Davidson's brother, Marshall Davidson, told police that Davidson told him she had dumped Severance's body in the stock tank, but that she found him dead in bed and thought a member of her family had killed him. Davidson was arrested on a charge of tampering with evidence.
* March 6, 2005: The Texas Department of Public Safety recovered Severance's decomposed body from the stock pond.
* April 13, 2005: Investigators discover what appeared to be documents pertaining to the office's use of phenobarbital and Valium from a veterinary folder in the trash.
* March 7, 2006-Aug. 1, 2006: Judges granted five motions to delay the trial, agreeing to give the defense time to conduct and complete scientific testing.

Obviously it was not your relative who was murdered. It's still on going as Wendi has an Appeal. Also, a book is being published on this story.

For our family it will never really be over or get closure as a wonderful man was taken out of our lives, also a man who served his country. There was no reason for this to ever happen.
Mike was my grandchildren's HERO, who they wanted somday to meet, Wendi did away with that dream.

They have custody of Mike's son Shane and are receiving $2000.00 a month to take care of not only Shane but also Wendi Davidson son from a pervious relationship from the U.S. Air Force who Mike worked for. So who is really benefitting from Mike's death? The Grandfather Les in Maine had to take them to court to get any kind of visitation with his own Grandson... this is still an on going. I think the state of Texas should investagate that family because the real murderer is taking care of Shane ... Wendi Davidson covered up the crime. She is just as bad if not worse than they are. This woman promised to Love and honor Mike til; Death do us part. She now needs to tell the truth. .... That transcript is Wendi Davidson secretly taping her father in an attempt to show that her father Lloyd Davidson is mentally unbalanced, so at some point she might be able to get her children back. Wendi it's time to get your "*** out of a crack" and tell the real truth about what happened to Mike so at some point your children won't grow up to think you are a monster. The State of Texas did investigate the murder and nothing was found against the Davidson family only Wendi.

If you really read the transcript, any logical person can realize that you really can't use it as proof of anything, it doesn't give you what was going on at the time. The court had ordered Wendi to not be around Shane, Lloyd was trying to get her to leave using anything he could, so that they followed the court order. Judy had already left with Shane, since Wendi wouldn't leave. Three psychologist have agreed that Mr. Davidson is not unstable.
According to court records, when entered into evidence numerous people including Wendi and Mr. Goff admitted to editing the tape before the court received it. This tape was only used in the custody hearing. It had nothing to do with the criminal trial.

Take these blogs, and edit them and everyone would sound unstable.

I Hope that one of your children never do anything wrong, because you are holding everyone as guilty for the actions of one person.

The custody case is over and so is the appeal.

I bet this cost Terrell Sheen an arm and a leg for all those lawyers who defended Wendi and she pleaded gulity im the end. So i guess it's 25 yrs for her, lots of time to think about what really happened.
