CW, I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I didn't know where else to put it with the Drew Peterson board locked...

Pals: Drew gave us his 'secret' gun
Couple say police missed weapon during search
http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/1...ling16.article

With this story hitting the news, I'd say that Ric Mims gained some credibility.

Body Recovery Search Under Way In Ship Canal
SUMMIT, Ill. -- Illinois State Police are assisting on a body recovery call Friday in the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal.

The U.S. Coast Guard is conducting the search near Summit.

It's unclear what prompted the call.

Wow.. That is one very short news item.. We need one of the posters that are "local" to that area on here! Summit is only about 30 miles from Drew's house.

Yes it is and it is in the time-line. Drive north to dispose of evidence, drive south and turn on your cell phone to prove you were nowhere close to the area in the north.

Yep... Now we need to hear more info about the body they are recovering. Like how "old" of a body it is....

I too would like to know.

A body recovery or a possible lead? I can't jump to conclusions.

Time will tell. Stacy needs to be found.

Checking In

I was so excited as I was reading thinkin maybe the body in the canal was going to be Stacy, but NO. I think excited was the wrong word, hopeful is more like it. Waiting for anything to take DP down.
I have so many questions ... what about the GJ and DP's sons testifying, what came of that???
AND ... TMorphey, I think he is the key and we've heard nada, nothing, so frustrating.
I can't imagine the ups and downs these families are going through, but I have faith DP will go down, just not sure when, but he will !!!!!

I heard about a month ago on some TV show (sorry no link) that this GJ is done the first of August so they will have to come up with a true bill or no bill by then.
Let's hope something happens soon.

Hello everyone.
I'm just stopping by to say how nice it is to be "home" again. I really missed IS, as I'm sure the rest of you did as well. I really hope as well that the GJ finishes soon and an indictment is on the way.

ITA, but then again I was inclined to believe a lot of what Ric said anyway. IMO if Brodsky or DP denied anything or in this case everything somene else said about them, I usually took that to mean it held some water, but that's just me.

Drew's pals wore wire
SEARCHING FOR STACY | Drew's chilling words caught on tape

July 23, 2008
BY JOE HOSEY Sun-Times News Group
Drew Peterson likes to talk an awful lot — especially for a guy whose third wife was murdered and fourth wife is missing.

And now two of his closest friends say they caught it all, cooperating with State Police by wearing a wire and recording seven months of intimate conversations with the former Bolingbrook cop.

Paula Stark and Len Wawczak (right) wore a wire during conversations with their former friend Drew Peterson, who trusted them so much he asked them to stash a .22 caliber folding revolver (inset) after his FOID card was revoked.

That's some good hunting Steffaroob - guess LE must have what they need. We can only hope. This just proves to me that he really is a narcissist. Everyone else is the problem, never him. I can't believe he would try to take Len's wife away from him! That's lowest of the low. Of course, he will probably claim that he was joking. The jokester that he is. IMO.

ITA! I was so hoping that LE was keeping tabs on him and had some sort of secret surveillance on him, and I'm so relieved to know that they have! Did you read the part where he tried to get his friend's wife to run away with him?? And how he wanted her to try on Stacy's bikinis?? I'm sorry but DP is a monster - what scum, IMO.

I'm wondering also why this is all coming out now....and I wonder if LE gave them permission to speak to the media.

Do you remember some of the statements made on Sandra Belinger's website that said a friend would turn on him (or something to that effect)? She was right on!

ETA: I just went back and re-read on that site and I am mistaken. Sandra mentioned his brother Paul and a tip. Must have been wishful thinking on my part.

I know, I think I just read somewhere that he's not concerned about the tapes because he says it will help clear him.....
I think I believe the friends more than I believe him.

I wonder what exactly is in the tapes....and also if LE has anyone else taping him. Hopefully LE is just wrapping everything up with a nice little bow. I know we all get impatient but I'd rather them wait until they have enough evidence against him so he will NEVER get out. In the meantime, I would appreciate it if all these loser women would stop fawning all over him in bars. I'm tempted to go to these bars one night just so I can pour my drink on him.

Oh man! This is my first post since the boards reopened. This is the best news to come back to.

I especially like the fact that the first story about these two friends implied they were upset about the search of their home. I believe they were quoted as saying they believed they were targeted because they are friends of Drew.

Well... we all know now the article was most likely a plant. There never was a search. These friends were helping law enforcement the minute they turned the folding .22 in to police. Drew is screwed. I am most confident that Drew Peterson will be indicted very soon.

It makes me smile. From ear to ear.

Hey there Ana.

Be sure to check out the link with Brodsky's statement. Instead of a straight up denial, Brodsky feels the need to belittle these ex-friends. As usual.
