FLDS book(s) discussion
I am reading 'Stolen Innocence' by Elissa Wall.
The book is about her youth and growing up in the FLDS 'religion'. She is the young woman who at age 14 was forced to marry her 19 y/o first cousin. She is also the key person who testified against Warren Jeffs who is now serving 10 years in prison for accomplice to rape convictions.
The book is an interesting look inside a Polygamous religious sect.
I also purchased 'Escape' by Carolyn Jessop, but have not started reading it yet.
There are other titles I am interested in, 'Under the Banner of Heaven' by Jon Krakauer and The Secret Lives of Saints: Child Brides and Lost Boys in a Polygamous Mormon Sect by Canadian author Daphne Bramham.
