Quick thought here, then off to work. Has anyone heard/seen anything about any father trying to get his kid(s) back? I know my husband would be the first in line, screaming about taking the kids, but I have yet to see a FLDS man speak a word.

Moms yes, Dads no, am I out of line here?

The men haven't been speaking out. I believe four of them have gone to court, but that's going from memory, don't have the time to go check, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I've only got speculation on the whys on that one... but I'd bet it's got something to do with the fact that, if they come forward to testify, they'd give up their right to take the 5th and NOT testify that they've been taking multiple wives, some of whom may have been under the age of consent. Just a guess, but I'd bet it's at least a near miss.

I believe my grandmother would call that lying without opening your mouth, can't admit your dad, if mom was under age, because you'll go to jail, if you do admit it, you'll go to jail.

Hey, I like that catch-22

I caught the tail end of an interview on the Early Show, with two of the men. What is with the way they speak? I didn't catch enough of the interview to even say anything. Maybe they will be on another show.

CBS The Early Show to interview young man forced to leave the Texas compound so older men could marry younger women.

IMO, the only men making themselves known are the men who have not married an underage child. All others have run like scared rabbits and hide behind the skirts of the women who are the mothers of their children.

Hi lotty

Maybe CBS will post the transcript of the interview. I am mountain time, so it hasn't aired yet. Will try to catch the interview and post what I hear.

That would be great...It would have been better to see it, but reading it would be great too. I can't believe I missed it. I've been waiting to hear the men's response. Figured it was just a matter of time, in this here media blitz.

Interview on now. Brent Jeffs (a Jeffs even) says he was tossed out because the older men scrutinize every little thing about their behavior. One little mistake and they are told to leave the compound.

They are lacking in education and life skills when they leave the compound.

Are boys inside the sect taught about sex? They are not. They are given orders and are told they must follow those orders and never question the orders.

What, that's it? Why did they even have this on if they weren't going to do a thorugh interview?

BTW Good morning Katy

The report on In Session has sickened me. Guess their are mothers as young as 17yrs old! All the kids carry either once of the two last names one of them being Jeffs, can't remeber the other last names. I hope the run DNA test ASAP and stop plyagamist MEN and their raping of young girls, then brian washing them that it ok!

These women are forever scared. Maybe there is still enough time to helpout the children.

I couldn't get the video part to play anything but commercials but I read the story.

One of the guys said that they didn't know it was against the law to marry girls under the age of 18. *.S. jmo

If he didn't know they were breaking the law, why did he think they were secluded. Why did they lie about the girls ages.

He said they never use force.

What about common sense? What about that feeling in the bottom of your gut that says, hey why are we always having to run? Why is my wife crying behind closed doors while I have sex with wife number 3 ? Why am I sleeping with my Uncles wife? Why did my Dad get kicked out and I now have a new Father again?

How can anyone be that cruel? And not feel the pain of the person they claim to love?

How incredibly sad. and scary.

Sorry Walton, my bad.
Try it again, I think it will play one commercial before the interview starts, or it may go straight to the interview.

Ooooooooo Jake's wife did not return to the compound. His child is 2 1/2 y/o. Wonder how old his wife is now and when she conceived the child?

Okay, that Rulen is as dumb as a box of rocks, IMO!

Yeah, but when he says 'they' never use force, is he talking about the three of them sitting there for they interview, or for the whole cult?

Talk about being led by a ring in their nose!! This just proves more solidly that these people are brainwashed from early childhood.

Thanks for the link! Boy 'Rulon' the one in the middle sure has been a busy boy! Six kids what about how many wives?

The oldest one, did you see the size of his hands!!! I wouldn't send my teenager to marry that monster.

I actually thought the guy on the end who said ' He has one wife and one child, He said he will teach his child to wait until 18yrs before marriage. IMO it should be 21yrs. But him seemed like the most decent of them all. Did any notice that he was about to cry? I thought he appeared abit emotional.

I was surprised by the interview...I'm still not sure what to think of these men. It's probably not really positive I can guarantee that.
jflo is fixing to cover the story after commercial...keeping up and trying to do house work, I'm not a great multi tasker.

Starting school

http://www.gosanangelo.com/news/2008...-by-yfz-ranch/

Authorities know few details of the educational curriculum at the ranch, but court documents reveal that a teaching system was in place. Textbook exercises, daily lesson binders, report cards, grade books, writing assignments - all are listed as seized property in the search warrant inventory released after the raid on the ranch.

Also seized were "attitude and behavior sheets," parent-teacher conference sheets and even videos taken in the ranch's two-story schoolhouse, offering a glimpse of education at the compound.

I am thinking that they would have notebooks filled with Waltons attitude and behavior issues.

I think the three last names are 'Jeffs' = who is in prison.
'Barlow' sp? and 'Sect' = who has been convicted for child abuse.

They have identified the 'person of interest' Sarah who made that late night phone call.

Men in order to revieve salvation must have three wives.
Women in order to go to Heaven must submitt to a husband who has three or more wives.

Per Live In Session.....

LOL about Walton's attitude ad behavior. I know Katy's name would be in there too. I hve always been inquisitive and ask a lot of questions. I don't think they would hve liked the questions I asked.

I wonder if they teach the children at an age appropriate level?

We know for a fact they listen to Warren Jeffs brainwashing 'lessons' 24/7.

IMO I watched the Fifth Estate video with Winston Blackmore, the reporter asked him about two of his wives marrying each other and his response was interesting.

can't get a direct link to this video to work. Click on DNA downtime to let lawyers do prep work...On that page, check out the video titled local reaction to FLDS hearing. The first 2 women interviewed are from Utah. First woman gives her first and last name, then gives the lady with her only first name...sister wives?

Yes Ashley Banfield did an interview with a reporter in Tx.
Her show on Ture TV is called IN Session.
