It's not what you say, it's how you say it. Let's hope todays board will be a civil and respectful one.

Good to see ya strick!

Right now, everyone is sitting back watching and reading the latest information.

Might better make a list of the not to do's when going on the run....

Laurean Web use tracked

Marine Cpl. Cesar Laurean fled Onslow County after a story about the disappearance of the woman he is now accused of killing, and an attached incident report revealing her rape allegation to the public, were viewed on a computer in his home around 4 a.m. on Jan. 11, authorities said.

http://www.jdnews.com/news/laurean_5...formation.html

From "OFF THE CUFF" by Lindell Kay

Whoever looked at the Web site looked at these two things: a story and attached documents.

From "OFF THE CUFF" by Lindell Kay

Maria's car had been moved around to different locations from Dec. 14 up until just before Jan. 7 when Maj. Terwilliger and two of his detectives found it.

VIDEO: Marine fugitive caught (2:49)
A Marine is caught in Mexico and is expected to face murder charges in the U.S. CNN's Susan Candiotti reports.

(Includes footage of the internet café Cesar frequented, the town Cesar was living near, interviews of some locals, snippets of the 4/11 PC and comments by Mary Lauterbach)

http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/wor...ef=videosearch

Adam Housley Blog

Indicates that Cesar would sometimes work at the internet cafe to obtain 'cash'.

He could've survived there for a long period of time but because he didn't have any field time, special training nor grunt training he lacked some survival skills. IMO he was ready to give up period. It was just a matter of time before he was found and he knew that.

Oh I totally agree.

I remember very early on some here were opining that he was on the beach in Mexico, appearance completely changed, footloose and fancy free, swigging down Margueritas, etc., etc. I never thought that for one minute. I thought he was on the run and in a horrible existence, terrified, remorseful, lonesome and COULD have been a likely suicide candidate. I don't think I was far off.

But not so terrified, remorseful and lonesome that he turned himself in after hiding in plain sight at an Internet Cafe.

Thanks for all the great links. Wow information now coming in hot and heavy.

But this does make me wonder.........

So if LE have determined where the car was moved around to then they have credible witnesses and even possible video tapes imo.

If they saw it parked there in various places then they certainly could have seen CAL driving the car in and who picked him up each time after he left it or they could know if it was being driven by him or someone else and then he picked them up.

Quite interesting.......

I agree. He wasn't adapting to this solitude life style. He took chances for quite awhile and seemed to want to be among people.

I didn't read it like that at all....I read it as they backtracked and were able to piece together a timeline of when the car was moved and where it was moved to...not that they knew when it was moved as it was happening....

I was one of those thinking Cesar was swigging down margueritas and living large.

Now I think he must be terrified. Suicide might not be far from his thoughts now that he feels he will be facing LWOP.

Gotta give you this one, SS! You were right!

I agree. I don't read into it that they were aware as it was happening.

"The car had been moved around to different locations from Dec. 14 up until just before Jan. 7 when Maj. Terwilliger and two of his detectives found it. I ran some questions by Capt. Sutherland and he confirmed that the car had been moved around town and detectives know where it had been."

Ocean, I don't think OCSD actually saw CAL driving the car and moving it around while doing the parking lot shuffle. They gleaned their information from credible witnesses who saw him moving the car Or picked him up when the car was moved.

I think GB was referring to witnesses who told LE where THEY had seen the car and possibly who was driving it, and there might have been video tapes, not that LE was watching it being moved.

I thought they were saying that they (LE) had weeded out the witnesses who were credible and those they decided weren't.

So I would think it was those witnesses is how they know the car was moved around which means imo they could have actually seen the car being driven in at the time and thought nothing of it then and who was driving and then who picked that person up.

But I will go read it again.

everyone . . . sneaking in while supposed to be doing income tax forms . . . ssssh . . . just got a "tip" about a myspace entry . . . you have to scroll down past a bunch of pictures before you get to it . . . 15 jan post in red . . . and offering it for info purposes only . . . not fact, not speculation, not anything except interesting . . .

i'm thinking that there's a lot more out there on myspace and that's where we'll find a lot more "facts" (loosely using this term here) . . . imo . . .
