Police Report
Bellefonte woman reported missing

A Bellefonte woman was reported as a missing person, considered in danger, to state police at Rockview. Elizabeth Ann Taylor, 31, of East High Street, left her home on Nov. 17 and since then has only left phone messages of a suspicious nature, police said.

Taylor is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds.

She has blonde hair and brown eyes and was last known to be wearing a burgundy jumpsuit.

Police said she was last known to be traveling to the Harrisburg area.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police at 355-7545.

Hi, Cat Toy. Don't be surprised there isn't a photo. After all, this is Centre Co., where they lost a District Attorney, who apparently wasn't worth much of an investigation. Chances are, the missing lady won't garner much interest either.

However, you may be reading soon that "no stone was left unturned" in this investigation too.

The bus station is in State College.....doesn't say whether he actually boarded the bus or not.

Troopers are looking for a missing person, William John Anstett Jr., 43, of Philipsburg, who was last seen Dec. 11 in State College, where he works. He was reportedly going to take a bus back to Philipsburg, but it is unknown if he ever returned to Philipsburg. He has not returned to work and has not had contact with family or friends, police said.

He is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 160 pounds, has brown eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing a green hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police. [/*]

Update: State police continue to look for missing woman
State police at Rockview continued their efforts Wednesday to find a Bellefonte woman."

Still no photo of the woman. We might all have seen her somewhere and might even know her but not her name.

I hate to put it this way, but this is the level of publicity in most missing persons cases, especially adults, and without a hook.

It doesn't make sense they are not putting a photo up and then want people to help, to tell them if they have seen her, or know anything about her whereabouts. They are limiting their help to only the people who know her??

If she was taking the Rt 144, Rt 322, and the bypass to Harrisburg, she could have stopped at Snappy's on Rt 144 at the Old Fort, just outside Centre Hall , or at Homan's Store in Potter's Mills, at the intersection of Rt 144 and Rt 322 in Centre County, for gas, food or drink.

If she went through Mifflin County to get to Harrisburg, she could have stopped at Milroy, the only truck stop from Centre County to Juniata County. Gas, food and drink.

A lot of people go in all of those stores and might have seen her. IF there was a photo put out of what she looks like. Do they know where the phone calls were coming from? County? Number? Land line or cell phone? This woman could have been walking amoung us and in trouble and no one knew because we don't know what she looks like.

At least with RG there were photo's put out and a lot of people knew him.

What troubles me is a man from this area had been shot and killed in Harrisburg after going missing, maybe due to drugs. That was just a couple months ago. And they are always finding bodies in the river there.

Her parents need to get her photo out there in the news! JMO

A lot of these cases just do not generate the publicity, unless there is something to attract attention. There was a woman, with health problems, that disappeared; she lived within 10 blocks from me. I don't think I've ever seen her photo, maybe once the day it was covered.

If she's able to call out, she probably wasn't kidnapped, or at least she report it.

I think that this is a good part of the case. RFG was at least familiar to people prior to his disappearance and there was blanketed local coverage. If he was in the area (and that's a good swath of Central Pennsylvania) or if someone else had seen him that day, they would have recognized him.

I don't buy the the whole, "Put up fliers in Lewisburg" argument. One national story can do more good than half a million fliers.

Hopefully they will be more publicity in this case.

The fliers won't add much is this case. What is needed in really hard questions in the press about why LE hasn't done certain things or strong local outcry.

That bothers me. WHY would someone take down the posters? Was it just one poster sj, or all of them?

I have only checked on a couple but those are gone. I think it might be people who want to replace him with something they are selling. The one had other flyers all over it but I moved them so he could be seen again. Next time I checked, he was gone.

Well that is terrible ..imo. I really wish there was something we could do to give this case the push it deserves. April is almost here..another year ..still no answers.
