omg. this scares me to death. My mother works in a highrise at the high 5 and drives this route from time to time. I was just telling her last night to have an escort to and from her car because her hours are alot of overtime these days.

I pray she is found safe.

I also hope she's found safe but the 1st thing that struck me is time of 3:45 am and the male was forced out but the
woman wasn't able to leave?

Was the male driving?
Was she asleep?

If I was the awake passenger in a non moving vehicle and the driver was being yanked out my 1st instinct would be to go out the passenger door.

Maybe she was driving?

I was thinking along the same lines. It seems a little odd to me. I don't think we have all the details of this story.

I do hope this woman is found safe and soon.

The link doesn't work, does anyone have another one? TIA.

I too find this story a bit odd. Have their names been released? Were they married? Any other personal details?

I'm guessing they aren't married
They aren't giving a make or license number of the vehicle
Seems that would be a pretty easy key piece of info that a husband or wife would know.

Local news tonight~

Kidnapped woman is Pauline Adams from Plano,TX
Two men are suspects...they flashed a photo of one of the suspects at large
(Evidently, the male witness has changed his story and knew one of the men)
L.E. said they believe this was drug related

This article says that the victim might have known one of the suspects, not the witness?.. And the first story only mentioned one suspect

"Kidnap suspect surrenders to police

09:46 AM CST on Thursday, December 13, 2007

From DallasNews.com

DALLAS — A suspect in the kidnapping of a woman on Greenville Avenue surrendered to police Thursday morning, Dallas police said.

Warren Alonso Riverson, 36, turned himself into the Lew Sterrett Justice Center, police said. Authorities were searching for a second suspect.

A woman was kidnapped at gunpoint about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday along the 12300 block of Greenville Avenue near LBJ Freeway.

A witness told police the woman was driving a black two-door car when the man approached, put a pistol to her head, pushed her into the passenger's seat and drove away. The witness was inside the car but escaped.

Investigators say the abduction may have been drug-related and that the victim, whose identity was uncertain Wednesday afternoon, may have known one of the suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to call Dallas police at 214-671-3584 or call 911. "

Her name is Pauline Adams, but this article says the other person in the car and the witness was another woman Also, has a pic of one of the suspects

Suspect sought in Greenville Ave. abduction

05:24 PM CST on Wednesday, December 12, 2007
DALLAS — Dallas police are searching for a woman who was abducted early Wednesday morning in northeast Dallas.

Police said Pauline Adams, 37, was driving with another woman in Northeast Dallas around 3:45 a.m. when their car stopped for a traffic light in the 12200 block of Greenville Ave.

The other woman told police a man with a gun approached the car, forcing her to get out then he drove away with Adams.

It appears Adams knew the suspected abductor, and police said the incident may have been drug-related. Officers are looking for Warner Alonzo Riverson whom they believe is connected to the incident.

Police also said there is a second suspect who was not identified. That man was seen driving away in the victim's vehicle, a black Pontiac two-door sedan. Anyone with information should contact the Dallas Police Department's Robbery Unit at 214-671-3584.

Yes, your Mom definitely needs an escort/security guard to see her to and from her car, especially at night. She needs to carry mace (ready to fire) or her car key (pointed outward between fingers) in case someone happens upon her that intends harm. Tell her, no matter what, DO NOT LEAVE WITH AN ABDUCTOR! They will say they will let you live, but they lie. It is very rare that a witness is left behind to give up the perp. Tell her to scream and fight to the end. Most likely scenario, the perp will run. Tell her to keep her doors locked at ALL times and to be "in the ready" as she gets to work and then leaves it. There's no need for her to fear, just take precautions. Dallas is a nasty, crime ridden city, but as long as your Mom takes safety precautions at all times, she'll be fine. I literally dread going into Dallas and always keep my doors locked when I absolutely have to go there, which isn't often thank GOD. No need for you or Mom to fear, just take precautions......Jo Layne, Grand Prairie, TX
