It describes the procedure that is used that you think I'm making up. If you want, you can google for yourself but I don't get the impression you really care to learn about it.

I already know more than enough about the subject. I don't need your link to an ethics debate that tries to sanitize the nasty issue of killing viable infants.

My friend's baby was not viable. The baby had stopped growing and was slowly dying and there was a danger to her life if she continued the pregnancy. This is the procedure they used to terminate the baby's life before doing the partial birth abortion.
If you've never heard of that procedure I'd say your assumption that you know enough on the subject is inaccurate.

If they killed the baby by stopping it's heart, there was no need to preform a partial birth abortion, which causes death by removing the baby's brain prior to the head being delivered.
In the case which you describe, if the baby is dead prior to abortion procedure, all they do is induce labor and deliver the body.
I have a very dear friend who lost a baby at 26 weeks to a "true knot" in the umbilical cord. Labor was induced, and the remains were delivered.
A "partial birth abortion" clinically known as a D & X abortion is as described in the Health Line link with Planned Parenthood information that I previously provided and will provide again:
http://www.healthline.com/galeconten...-partial-birth
You are either confused by what you heard from your friend, or simply trying to whitewash the disgusting nature of the D & X abortion.

I heard a theologian on TV some months ago and he said as such "The safest place in the world for a developing baby should be the Mother's womb, yet today it is the unsafest for many".
Makes one ponder huh??

I'm not trying to whitewash anything. D & X abortions the way you described them are very rare, if they happen at all. There is no reason for them to partially deliver a live baby and kill it that way when this procedure is available to them.
