I will probably tune in next week also.
I was worried in the first few minutes - about what I thought was thoughless writing. I mean - here is a Priest saying to his Superior "I can't understand how there can be God and Aliens". Huh? I thought the church was quite sure that God created the whole Universe - not just Earth. And then there is his Superior who is just so happy to have his church full that he has no worries - doesn't care why. (people are scared) I hope that guy turns out to be a "V" - otherwise they seem to be just insulting the Church. Maybe they will give equal time to Muslims, Jews and Protestants, lol. (I'm really not being PC - I just thought it was dumb)
Still - The story line was kind of intriguing and I like the characters: well acted, I thought. I'll hang in awhile longer.

I watched it and at first thought it was good. Later in the show, I think I began reading too much into it. I wonder if it is political. I know that sounds crazy, but when the V head director said they were setting up medical care in all the world's major cities, the interviewer looked concerned and asked if it was "universal healthcare." The look on his face was suspicious. Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but when you set up these Visitors to be "alien terriorist" and they are providing the dreaded "universial healthcare," it makes me think they are trying to smear the healthcare plan that Congress is working on now. Am I being silly? I still may give it a shot.

The opening scenes remind you of the recent War of the Worlds movie with Tom Cruise. Also, I would think that world leaders would be a little more active in investigating and regulating these people. The supposed FBI agents are operating as if they are islolated rouge detectives with no real support or guidance. We'll see if takes off.

Ah..I didn't see it..wanted to..then didn't want to..then wanted to..and forgot about it.

I agree about it looking like Cruise's War of the Worlds in the beginning..I only say the trailer. (I still love the Original, BTW).

Don't know if it's political..but aren't a lot of things Hollywood does?

I have enough nightmares without adding this, but figure I might be able to handle it?

I used to love the old TV series The Invaders (??)

Out here..years ago..we'd see things in the sky...scared me..then realized it was "top secret"?? stuff at the AFB..or so I was told.

There was a miniseries back in the 80s called V and I loved it. Is this a remake?

I watched the miniseries way back when. I too loved it. I believe this is a remake but they are making it into a regular series? I recorded it, but have not watched it yet! Can't wait.

I never watched the original "V" back when it aired, but I did watch it a while back courtesy of Netflix.

There was a series that lasted a year or two but I didn't watch those.

I don't remember any discussion of this back then, but the whole "Visitors" thing was a very thinly disguised Nazi-like invasion. Their symbol even looked a little like a swastika. And the original "V" was EXTREMELY violent.

REf. the things you saw years ago: So did my family, but we were in NC. I had 2 experiences; One in the 70's and one in the 80's. We still aren't sure what they were. I usually don't say much about it because people think you are nuts. LOL. Perhaps this is why I am so intrigued by alien spacecraft shows/movies.

V TV Series 2009 Brings Visitors Back to TV

The V 2009 TV series carries a lot of expectations, and not just because the V TV series 2009 is a remake of a sci-fi classic. V is the last fall 2009 TV series, and one of ABC's hopes for a post-Lost sci-fi franchise. However, it will take the V TV series 2009 version some time to break out, since it will only run for several weeks before going on break, and is already changing management. Therefore, the V 2009 TV series version has to get off to a blazing start tonight, and make as much of a first impression as the evil Visitors.

Oh thank you for this info!
I missed the episode and want to see it.

I saw the original series and it gave me the creeps. I'll never forget the vision of Diana swallowing a live rat as an introduction to the horror of who these beings really were.

I read some reviews, ..the only negative I read was that things unfolded too fast too soon when perhaps the mystery and creepiness should have been extended a few episodes.

Regardless, I'm looking forward to this.

I only hope the series will continue.....don't know if anyone saw "Invasion" the series by Sean Cassidy...it was brilliant and enormously thought provoking, but it was abruptly canceled without any resolution. I was so disappointed, I swore never to watch another series......but can't resist.
