The 'set up' defense isn't going to fly. If that was the case, she should have called LE immediately after seeing that Shannon was reported missing. IMO

But no, she watched as a town came together searching for the baby.

ITA Ladygator actually I laughed when I read it did she set her up to put her under her bed for hours in a dirty diaper to
