FWIW, I heard rumors a few years back that word was going around the Gosselin's local area that Jon was cheating on her left and right. I never took any of those rumors seriously UNTIL the photos started coming out.
So for now, I will give Kate the benefit of the doubt UNTIL some kind of concrete proof shows up like pictures, text messages or something. That's only fair, imo.

I understand that and it wasn't my point. My beef wasn't with you. Daniel Green seems to think it is horrible to accuse Kate of whatever we may think she's up to without proof; pathetic even. However, it is perfectly okay for her to accuse the dj of lying. All I'm saying is that's a double standard, the pot calling the kettle black. Either it's not okay or it is. She needs to choose. IMO.

The latest stop on his quest for inner peace was a yoga studio at a Los Angeles hotel Nov. 5. As exclusive photos at Usmagazine.com show, the 32-year-old reality star -- in shorts and a tattoo-revealing tank top -- tried out basic poses, stretches and breathing and meditation exercises.

Oh, maybe he came back from LA yesterday and then went to the movies. I'm still confused.

It's the perfect way to make a World Series loser feel like a winner ... invite Jon Gosselin to your wedding. TMZ has learned Gosselin is flying to Hawaii this weekend to attend the wedding of Philadelphia Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino. Is there such a thing as strike four?

Why can't he ever just tell the truth when he is in front of the Paps?

TLC has filed a preliminary injunction against "Jon & Kate plus 8" star Jon Gosselin in their breach of contract lawsuit against the father of eight. RadarOnline.com reports Jon is required to appear Dec. 14 in a Maryland courtroom. He will undoubtedly be questioned under oath about breach of contract, exclusivity and confidentiality clauses, his outside income and more. And it already sounds like a reality show.
The judge has already given TLC permission to depose Jon’s girlfriend Hailey Glassman. Oh, goodie. More couples counseling.
What do you think? Is the jig up? Will Jon Gosselin's celebrity career be over soon?

Maybe you all should go back and look at the discussion. I was the one that used the word pathetic and it had nothing to do with whether or not the DJ was telling the truth. What I was referring to were statements from one poster about Kate being seen kissing her bodyguard when there was nothing to back up that statement.....no proof at all. My comment was :
"Wonderful! Facts seem to be the forgotten element in all this. Much easier and more fun to practice innuendo, speculation and rumor. The only way to justify the Kate bashing. Pathetic IMO."
By the way, when the afore-mentioned poster couldn't find any proof for her rumor, she even suggested that a reason might have been that the DJ might have been caught in a lie.

Bolding mine.
Thanks, but I was referring to post #219 where Daniel Green says:
"For real. Pathetic.
The bodyguard and his wife and children are celebrating Thanksgiving with Kate and the children.
How nasty to continue to post lies (kissing) and some report from some radio dj that he saw Kate and this man holding hands."

Then you must have noticed that DG was simply agreeing with my previous use of the word "pathetic". So, if you don't like the word, blame me.
Didn't you notice that the kissing part could not be verified by anything that the dj said? For a POSTER to present it as a fact was certainly not telling the truth and could well be considered as spreading rumors at the very least. Wouldn't you agree? That is what the discussion was all about.
As you can probably tell, this is one of my pet peeves....i.e. presenting something as fact that is only opinion since it cannot be backed up. Using MOO or JMO after making an emphatic statement does not lessen it's potential impact. To me, the intent is only to bad-mouth, insult, defame the person it is directed at and hope it sticks. Doesn't matter whether it be Kate or Jon....in this case it was Kate.
OK....getting off my soapbox.

Yes, I can tell it's a pet peeve. I agree, which is why I felt compelled to respond to Daniel Green. She stated the dj was obviously making it up. She has no proof of that, yet stated it as a fact. Isn't that an example of your pet peeve?
You're bothered when justice4all does it, but not when Daniel Green does it? Sorry, but that doesn't make sense to me. Are you selective with your pet peeves or does every example apply?
I'm getting off my soapbox, too. Have a nice day, Mnchkin!

NO...I am not selective at all. DG did say that and should not have IMO. Guess I should have said that earlier.
However, if you check back you should also see that J4A suggested herself that there was the possibility that the dj had been caught in a lie.

I did see that and I have no argument with anyone calling J4A on it. I just don't agree with a poster saying it's pathetic for one poster to do it and then going right ahead and doing the same thing. That's all I am trying to say, Mnchkin.

Exactly, AB.
Why on earth would anyone take the word of a shock jock as fact? And, then to add to his tale--long since disproven--and say that the two ppl were kissing, which is not something even that guy alleged?

Attention seekers.
Hey, maybe it was ALMOST kissing. Like Kate's blouse was ALMOST see through......her boobs were ALMOST popping out.
O/T I went to the football game of my life last night. My sons team won the western state championships last night. My son who is the defensive lineman, played most all the game until the end when they put in the less experienced players so they could tell their kids one day they played in the game. Sign me HAPPY HAPPY!!

Bolding mine. I don't know what you mean by the first bolded line. Aren't we all inserting ourselves into these type of stories? And what does it have to do with attention seeking?
Congrats to your son on the game. You must be bursting with pride right about now! That's a good coach, too, one who isn't so into winning that he/she would let everyone on the team share in the spotlight. I hate when coaches don't let the whole team play simply because the win is more important than the spirit of teamwork. Kudos to the coach.

I have spent a lot of time fact checking such stories and have come up totally empty handed. Things that were suppose to be on websites are no longer there, any supposed proof gone and stuff like still photos that Paps snapped just before or after something big went down. They always have these un-named sources or even worse disgruntled employees and such folks who have not even been in the picture for years.
Like I said, 98% of the posters here deal in fact. I sure do not wake up each day wondering what kind of fiction I can find on some parent of 8 little darling kids I have grown to love.
Lets face it, if someone is a really bad person, there really is no need to make things up.
|
Bold mine.
That's true enough.
It's clear that Jon is up to all kinds of shenagagins. He's too stupid to hide it and it's going to come back and bite him in the rear. Very selfish, too.
Kate, for her part, completely turned me off during those TLC shows. She is obviously controlling, a put down artist and generally pretty cranky most of the time. Also, I think, too hard on her kids. It's rare to see her in a picture where she doesn't look completely miserable and I get the sense that what we did see on the show was pretty mild in comparison to when the cameras weren't rolling. I don't think she's very nice. But that's JMO.
The kids are completely innocent and I wish someone would treat them like they deserve to be treated and honestly put them first. Neither parent is doing that, IMO.

Well, IMO, it's equally important to PROVE the dj is telling the truth before we start getting too excited about what anyone claims they saw.
Seriously...anyone could come out of the woodwork about now and talk all kinds of smack about Kate. They could be lying through their teeth, it could be proven beyond any shadow of a doubt they were lying through their teeth, and yet....there would be people who would still quote them as speaking the gospel, only because it's what they want to believe.
I doubt the dj, because he's the ONLY one there in a very public place, who claims he saw them holding hands. Kate is a woman who's constantly harassed by a myriad of paparazzi. Where were they??? Sleeping?
THEN, suddenly, it's revealed that nothing was actually said about "kissing", other than the original starter of this gossip saying that part of the dj's show was lost. Then I get called out for questioning about the tampering of the tape. WTFlock?
So you tell me. What are we supposed to do when someone says such things and then backpedals all the way and says MAYBE the dj MIGHT have been caught in a lie???
As for calling anyone a liar, I think at this juncture it's in everyone's best interest to question these bearers of ugly rumors, be it about Kate OR Jon.

Hi Spyder,
What are you supposed to do? Call the poster on it, by all means, but don't then turn around and DO what it is you're calling the poster on.
That's all I'm saying.
WTFlock...that gave me a chuckle!

Thanks, Spyder, you phrase things so much better that I do. The only thing that I would like to add is that, if holding hands is signs of an affair, then I've been a very busy girl. LOL
