Apparently the treatments we thought had been outlawed, actually are still being used these days.
Recently, about two months back there was a show I THINK it was on PBS about the man behind the lobotomies, and the one's that were done punch, through the nose. It was horrible to watch, what the meger beginnings truly were of our mental health system and how they are still used to this day. After many years of thought, I've come to the conclusion that I do not believe in most of what mental health experts are selling to the public. I'm sorry I just don't buy it. The treatment for the most part, is archaic.
From the SSR meds to their methods including shock treatments.
They Do Not Work.

Scan the forums online about the meds people take who are suffering. And you will find, that they continue to take more and more and more doses and more and more meds, like 5 to 6 at a time, to combat side effects or to double dose. And it does not work.
Turning a person into an empty melon upstairs is not the way to treat the brain. Our brains, are so intricate and there is still so little we know about the life of and science of; the Brain.

I think it takes the right doctor and the right medication as I have found out sometimes it takes several medications until you find the right one that helps or at least I know with depression and a anxiety disorder and I function just fine.
