"Stimulus is of little help to dying factory towns
Government spending plans are hard-pressed to revive manufacturing jobs"
"Many communities hit hardest by job losses, those built around dying factories and mills, have been slowest to see relief from President Barack Obama's stimulus plan, underscoring how hard it is for Washington policymakers to create lasting work in areas that need it most."
I think the WH is doing a pre-emptive strike concerning unemployment numbers soon to be released. After hearing Obama start backing up with a caveat about numbers going down before going up regarding unemployment, I think it's all to cover for admitting what a wash some of the stimulus has already shown us in REALITY. Just peeking in on the Cash 4 Clunkers drivel was enough for me this week. JMO tho.
