I'm surprised the murder of Annie Le wasn't listed.

Me too, Willow. I would have put that case on the list before Morgan Dana Harrington.

And well before listing the Heenes.

The Balloon Boy? I guess it did get a lot of publicity, but am surprised it is on the list.

Absolutely. And I wouldn't have included the Anthony or the Cummings cases; they are not "new" in 2009. I guess they are just listing the "biggest" though. Don't even know if I agree with that. I think the Anthony case isn't really that big anymore except for mostly just in FL and on message boards. Same with Cummings. Just IMO.

I think the Caylee case will blow up again once the trial starts.

Probably so. Right now I personally am sick to death of it, have been for a long time actually.....but I'm sure my interest will resurface when the trial actually happens.

Mr. & Mrs. Billings (the couple with all the special needs children, who were murdered duing Home Invasion).

That's way more of a crime then the balloon boy!

Anything should have been on top besides another celebrity who died of his own obsessive need for drugs. IMO

I actually was surprised to see MJ number 1, I haven't kept up, so I was even more surprised that they listed his death as a homicide. IMO at the families insisting. Who has been arrested in this homicide? How can it be a homicide when the victim was demanding it?

Thought Christopher Coleman murders-Sheri Coleman and children and Robert Manwell murder both should of been over balloon boy. It appears to be about the most unusual-shock value or Bombshell material.

It is a homicide because he died by the hands of another.

Just like John Belushi's death was a homicide and iirc the friend that administered the drug was found guilty of manslaughter.

I wasn't surprised that MJs death was the number one crime story. When his death happened there were so many on line that it almost caused the internet to crash.
