What case are you most looking forward to seeing this year?

I am really hoping that some of these open cases have progress made on them. Hayleigh Cummings, Hassan in San Francisco, Susan Powell, the woman in North Georgia, the little girl in Jacksonville and more, if not all, of the missing so their families can put their loved ones to rest.

Sandra Cantu murder (Melissa Huckaby's next court date is 11th April, I think).
Nancy Cooper murder - trial date?
Victoria Stafford Murder - trial date?
Would have to go and look those up.

I agree.
However, it's going to be very difficult to watch/hear about.

If, if it happens and this year I would like to see the Phil S./Clarkson, civil trial.
Gee family murder trial, that was an interesting board, a definite who did it and what was the motive.
All the upcoming trials seem to involve little children. Sadly, I don't know if I want to see them.
Something different, maybe a Gotti / Mafia type of trial or something we aren't keenly aware of at the moment. Madoff type or something along those lines.
Maybe, the HKS and Dr. E of the Anna Nicole saga if that happens.

Will bet a change of venue is granted. I don't see the folks in my community being unbiased.

I do not know this case, but will look it up around here.
I am going with the Casey Anthony trial, tho it probably won't commence until Twenty-Eleven.
(note the new-fangled way we are to say these 'twenty' years. I saw it on the TV, must be true!).

I think 2010 is the year of casey anthony. We have the check fraud case on January 25th, the murder trial in the spring/summer and then we have the ZFG civil case. There is a small chance the civil case could happen before the murder trial, but I don't think it will.
Of course our times being what they are, I'm sad to say there will probably be a case that shoots out of nowhere that shocks all of us...............unfortunately.

My wish would be that, with all these new trials coming up, I would hope there would be more of them shown to us instead of all the old, old reruns they have showed us. Can't see any reason to see any more of them.

It was a VERY sad day when we lost CTV as it once was. I remember watching the OJ trial on CTV, way back when, and of course many others through the years. CTV was an absolutely brilliant idea! Didn't they ever hear the old adage, "if it ain't broke don't fix it!"? I just detest TruTV. It's one channel I never, ever watch.

Dossett Leath to be retried in second husband's death as scheduled
On Jan. 11, Raynella Dossett Leath is set to stand trial - again - on charges she killed her second husband, retired West Knoxville barber David Leath. A sole hold-out on the jury that weighed the case earlier this year netted Dossett Leath a mistrial.

A 19-year-old man convicted of first-degree murder in the 2007 slaying, beheading and burning of a River Rouge man has been granted a new trial in a Detroit court.
Appellate attorney Elizabeth Jacobs says the new trial for Jean Pierre Orlewicz was ordered Tuesday by Wayne County Circuit Judge Bruce Morrow.

I know. It's like I have a vendetta against them for screwing with everything. I REFUSE to watch TruTV. I know, I'm strange. I watched CTV since William Kennedy Smith, or even before. I miss Vinnie, Lisa, Michael Bryant, Jean, Beth, Nancy, Jamie, Jack, Ashleigh, even Kimberley .... all of them. If I see one of them on a show I yell to my hubby.... Here's so and so. It was a good, well rounded debate of facts and opinions. Worst thing I ever saw was Lisa sitting there alone without Vinnie beside her. Just an empty chair. JMO.

Casey Anthony and Christopher Coleman. I'd like to see them both get death, but if not, life sentences in the general population (with no possibility of parole) would be great to see too.
Child killers don't fair so well in prison. Their due is coming.
I had to google Christopher Coleman for a refresher. There are so many of these types of cases coming out of the woodwork that its hard to remember them all. What a sad world we live in.
And I agree about gen pop for both him and Casey Anthony. It won't be pretty for either of them.

Well, I keep hoping for the way it used to be---always check the channel about every morning, but just turn it off when it's a re-run which is almost always. With all the horrible crimes that are happening, I see no sense in showing repeats---ever!! I guess I'm a die hard. Keep thinking they'll give us what we've all been begging for since it changed. Guess I don't understand the TV industry. I always thought viewer interest was the big thing. Not so. But, I will keep checking the channel in case they listen to us. (and keep changing channels, unfortunately).

Justice for Caylee Anthony.
Absolutely! And now - Sharee Miller. Apparently they've let her loose and she will tried again - but with some important evidence missing (her lover's suicide note) this time. I can't satnd the idea that she might get off and I really want to see the retrial.
Lets not complain too much about TruTV or CNN. I'm afraid that CNN might drop Insession and TruTV entirely - and this board too. If they ever decide to do that I hope we get sufficent warning so we'll know where to go to find each other.

I have to add Leggs Jr to this list, he killed and raped a little girl here on the East Coast this Xmas. Her case did not get a lot of exposure because she was found so quickly and it was over the holidays. Some of you may have not even heard of her, but Sarah Foxwell Deserves justice just as anyone else. This was heartless, senseless, and worse, so many states KNEW he was a Registered Offender.
I know that I cried on Xmas when they found her. And where Should she have been? Opening Gifts, under the Tree, instead she was left to rot in the woods! This POS never even changed his clothes afterwards being arrested in them. Sickening. I hope he gets his true justice in prison and then with the needle.
I hope the state goes after the DP in this case.

I have to say that I'm glad Orlewicz got a new trial. By no means am I saying that he's not guilty. Very important evidence was excluded from his trial. In my opinion, for a jury to make a truly informed decision as to guilt or innocence, they need to have all of the information about the case. I'm looking forward to seeing how this new trial goes.

I have to agree with you, BirdWatch. The move to Atlanta has brought about some welcome changes, IMO.
First, the anchors are not cluttering up their segments with lots of different talking heads with whom they then felt obligated to engage in conversation. The new setup now has a very few 'consultants'.
There also seems to be more of an effort to show more of what is going on in the courtroom.
I'm hoping Vinnie can tone down the drama in his speech, facial expressions and body language ... more like he used to be with, IIRC, Lisa Bloom.
Lastly, I still miss Jack Ford whose calm and professional demeanor was my personal choice of anchors.
