My minister says there are many mysteries that are at times not clear to us.
That is the reason I attend church. Our minister breaks it down and leaves no stone unturned. I believe only a person who has studied theology to a degree of acquiring their doctorate can answer certain questions.
Also.. the Bible was written by various people according to their experiences. The holy spirit was the guiding force, but some are writing from prison, some from personal experiences etc.
Remember Noah? That was the funniest part of the Bible to me.
He was so oppositional to building the ark.

Have you read the bible or are you selecting certain excerpts you feel are contradictory?
Lisa... there is nothing in the world like the love of God. You can feel it when you awake in the morning and it carries you all through the day.
It feels like someone is embracing and protecting you.

It's the greatest blessing in the world, because unlike man..God will always be there.

I was raised christian, I have read the bible cover to cover twice and many parts more then I can count, if it wasn't for reading the bible, I would probably still be a christian as the bible was what I had issues with, I thought a god would be better then that, it was not the belief in a higher power I had issues with

I would have to disagree with you on that one, Sharmalady. Christ had no degree nor did his apostles. Yet Christianity spread like wildfire throughout the world.

That (IMO) is what is so wonderful about the Bible. It is written so even the "least of those" can comprehend and understand the message of salvation from Almighty God through Christ His Son and understand the principles of living a life with Christ at the core.
