this jury out of all 3 juries got it, they knew that they were all in it together, and all as guilty of the charges, Cobbins jury with all that evidence only convicted him of facillitation on many of the charges, this jury finds GT guilty of everything with much less evidence,

Judge is still reserving his ruling on motion for aquittal, I think he is waiting to see if the jury give him DP or not imo,

surely he will not reverse the juries decision on any of the charges, the jury has spoken imo anything else should be an appelate issue not be in the hands of the trial judge

I dunno but I would think with a TOTAL of GUILTY ON ALL COUNTS....the judge will be hard-pressed to overrule the jury.

I've only seen it done (watching trials since 1991), in one case...and that was the Justin Barber trial in FL.

I have to commend Steve Johnson and Tom Dillard for defending George Thomas in a respectable manner. Although I do not agree with their arguments - they never slung the mud, like Davidson's lawyers, Trant & Eldridge, did. They were appointed to this case and did the job they were hired on to do and did so in a decent manner.

I would NEVER be able to do their job. Never in a million years could I defend someone like Thomas, but someone has to do it.. and I am just glad they didn't stoop to the lows that Slime's lawyers did.

About him being medicated... At the end of the hearing today the prosecution asked the defense if they planned on bringing any mental health witnesses.. and they said NO. So that makes me think that he might NOT be medicated, but not sure??

i missed the verdict so i am hoping to see a vid on line somewhere

i enjoyed posting with everyone and have learned a few things but i will have to say and no offense to anyone i think i might do good being on a jury the reason i say that is because i did look the words infer and imply and my thoughts were i would as a juror infer that the bleach/burning destroyed thomas's dna so i would have found him guilty on all charges due to my inference of his involvement in all the crimes i sure hope that make sense :thumbup:

Basically, both women said much the same in the previous trials.

Stacy left LD's house on Jan. 2 b/c LD put a shotgun in her face. G (Stacy's b/f) stayed at LD's house. G, cobbins & coleman were going to "live" there and not go back to KY.

Stacy said G "did nothing" when LD put the shotgun in her face.

Honesly, some of you must be exhausted. Your exuberance is well earned. I followed the Phil Spector trial(s) gavel to gavel and I was exhausted when the final verdict came in. If you remember, it took almost two weeks for the jury to reach a verdict. Exhausted and Exhilerated is how I felt.

when I first read about this horrible crime I knew I had to see it through. I just lurked around until the trials as I had so much trouble getting registered. I feel being here and posting on my facebook about the trials has made me feel like I am doing a little something to make people know about these kids and what they went through. aproudmom, I'm new here posting, but have watched the first two trials (living on the west coast and getting up at 6:00 am to watch live) My kids think I've lost it, but I've been sucked in since the very beginning. I couldn't register to post for some weird reason, but have followed all of your and everyone's posts throughout. Today, after moving, we got hooked up and literally after the tech left they announced the verdict. So I feel lost not seeing the third trial, but this case has just moved me and I will be there tomorrow morning for the sentencing. So I hope I can be included in the UNITED UNTIL THE END - because this case so deserves it!

you really need to read the threads about the previous trials because they really differed as far as the actions of the defense attorneys. LeM's attorneys have earned a reputation that is well deserved as they put Channon and Chris on trial and it was so sickening and maddening. At the end of that one I was so angry I sent a letter to the Tennessee Attorney General about their actions. Of course no response. Judge Bum earned his nickname during LeT's trial. He really seemed to favor the defendants during the first 2. He was so much more fair at this trial. You really should check out the first 2.

No problem La'Kell. It was so frustrating not being able to post during the first two trials, although I watched every bit (being on the west coast, getting up at 6:00 am) my kids thought I had lost my mind, but it's a case that should have had so much more coverage and I have followed all of the posts. It really sucked not being able to watch the third. We had just moved and had our internet hooked up today and literally got on line and the verdict was being announced. It's good there can be some humor with all the evil (without that we'd all go crazy and have no hope) and I have enjoyed the cameraderie and I am looking forward to being part of the "United" for these families - any of us with children (mine are 18 and 13) can't begin to imagine what they are going through, yet we can see it in their faces daily. I'll see you all in the morning and look forward to participating. Wow that was long winded - no more wine for me tonight!!

I think the one thing that differed from the other trials, at least slightly.. Here are the things I noticed:

1. Eric Boyd's presence and participation in this crime was outlined a lot more than the other two trials, at least IMO.

2. The prosecution REALLY showcased the bleach. I remember it being discussed briefly in the other two trials, but I always felt that it wasn't discussed enough. Any chance they could - they brought up bleach being in the kitchen. And showed pictures of the bleach bottle. Leland Price at one point had the bleach bottle out in front of the jury asking and asked a witness to identify the bleach bottle as coming from the house.

When the DNA expert testified - she said more than once that bleach could degrade DNA.

When the ME testified, they had her state that bleach could cause the body to decompose quicker and they had her state that she smelled an aroma on Channon that smelled like BLEACH!

I was VERY impressed w/the concentration on that aspect of this crime because it is one of the many thing that disgusts the heck out of me.

3. Ethel Lynn Freeman backed away from her previous statement that she was sure she saw Channon & Chris panhandling for money for gas.. she said she wasn't positive it was Channon & Chris. Defense atty brought out her previous statement from the trial & proved she had positively identified Channon & Chris in Davidson's case.. thus making her look like a liar - (not hard to do, imo).

However, Fitz was able to get in the fact that of ALL the times she's given statements and/or testified -- she ALWAYS stated that she saw G walking down the street on Sunday. She never waived from that point.

... it is early, I will keep thinking about differences and get back to you.. lol.

Hope you son is okay. My son is 8 hours away and I always worry on the drive to and from school. Especially through the mountains and then through Atlanta.
