His daughters seem so sweet. I feel so bad for them. They probably do not have much of a life with all the worry and embarasment. They are probably afaraid to be around him yet are afraid to not be. It would be so hard on them to talke care of him instead of the other way around. I wonder how many years he has been putting his body through this.
I hope he gets help soon or he could die.

When I read the headline I can't say I'm surprised he's been in need of a major rehab recovery big time and I don't want to see him do no reality show rehab either he needs some time away from Hollywood.

I think the girls were in their mid-teens - 14-16 maybe - when they got divorced, so they may have had some say in where they wanted to live. If they wanted to live with him, I wonder if it was because they were concerned about what would happen to him if they weren't there?
His ex-wife was arrested for a DUI this year . . . even if that was just a one-time occurrence, it wasn't a responsible choice. Bad enough when one parent has problems, let alone both of them.
IMO

I met Hasselhof at the airport once some years ago. He looked vaguely familiar but I didn't know who he was ( I never watched that Baywatch show or whatever else he was in). He chatted me up in a waiting area and I didn't take too kindly to it since he seemed kind of creepy and I wanted to read my book. He got all huffy when he realized that I didn't know who he was and that I didn't appear impressed.
Just my luck. Too bad it wasn't somebody like George Clooney instead.... for him, I would have dropped my book in a millisecond.
I agree with others, he needs major intervention. I hope this is a wake up call for him...before he destroys himself. I feel sorry for his kids.

IMO Good point about the kids.
I had no idea about his ex-wife getting a DUI. My gosh that just makes this all so much worse. Just breaks my heart. Those poor kids.

IMO As I read this I sat here saying WHAT WHAT WHAT?
What is wrong with these people who can clearly afford a driver or taxi? I sure wonder what these two idiot's marriage was like. Those poor kids. I have never heard a bad word about those sweet little girls but do you realize the chances that they will develop their own such problems. I dearly hope not but it is in the genes and also the pressure they must feel is so enormous. Just being their age alone is pressure enough for them. I hope they have some loving relative who is there for them. God bless them. I kinda get the feeling the parents just throw money at them thinking that's enough.
WHO HAS BEEN RAISING THESE KIDS?

WHO HAS BEEN RAISING THESE KIDS?
In these tytpe of situations, one of two things happen; either the kids follow their parent's path or the kids try to hold the family together and take care of Mom and Dad. From what I have read, these two young women have been trying to raise their parents. So sad for them but better than drinking and drugging themselves.

I believe sometimes, God blesses those who are innocent with a special gift of maturity, despite their youth. It sounds like these children have all but raised themselves and are still in the process of trying to raise their parents.
I'd feel sorry for David and his ex-wife, but I reserve those feelings for the children. Those two selfish lushes need to get ahold of themselves and deal with reality. There are far too many ways they can get help if they choose. They just don't WANT to get better. A couple of low-life drunks who don't deserve children. Why do people like that insist upon breeding?
There are only three eventual outcomes for the alcoholic/addict:
death, prison, or recovery.
It's time that both of them come to this realization. But as you say they have to WANT the last option and be willing to struggle through it to get better. These people DO have the means and I'm sure would have lots of support.
I admire Robert Downey Jr for example. After years of terrible difficulty through his own ordeals, look at where he is now.
I feel very sorry for the children.
