Steven Spielberg and Stephen King are joining forces to develop a limited series based on King's just-released supernatural thriller "Under the Dome." DreamWorks TV has optioned the book and is looking to set it up as an event series, likely for cable.

I'm one hundred & seventeen pages (1,072 page novel) into Under The Dome & I see how excellent a mini series could be. Mini being the keyword.

This novel is classic Stephen King. :)

Not surprising once one becomes aware of the fact that he started to write this novel in 1976.

This is one of his best..........
I can't wait to see the mini series.

I'll have to put His new book on the library list . It sounds like it will be a good read.

I finished the novel a few days ago. :)

I still say this novel is Stephen King's best in a long time... but... I have to say the explanation at the end was a little bit 'hokey.'

Just a little.

It made me wonder how the 'explanation' would be filmed for the miniseries.

Justice4all... what did you think of the end of the novel?

Turned into a political book to me. I think it will make a great mini series but I was really disappointed with the ending.

Do you think they will change it up for the mini series?
