When the president of the United States is traveling overseas, do you think it is appropriate for him to bow to a foreign leader if that is the country’s custom or is it never appropriate for the president to bow to another leader?

Yes, bow when it is the proper custom: 67%
No, it is never appropriate: 26%

Even more interesting, a majority of Repubicans, 53%, says the Bow is appropriate, too, versus only 40% who said it isn’t.

Customs should be observed. Otherwise it is disrespect. Exactly. Even Eisenhower understood that.

I agree.

I'm just amazed to see that Fox News Poll was quoted by snookums  So, they're a reliable source now?

I posted the link to Fox since many on this board think they are the ONLY truthful news channel on TV. I personally don't think any of them are completely truthful and Fox is the the worst when it comes to biased lies. But then, that is just my opinion. Opinions don't really mean a thing when faced with facts. Fact is FOX is the only channel that went to court to get the right to lie.

Well on today's AOL news, Fox caught using footage from campaign rather that book crowds for a certain "writer". Oooopsie.:w00t: Truth is truth.

Isn't is also customary to bow to the Queen of England?

I find it strange that Fox News would bother to take a poll on the bow.

Like that's important for Americans to have an opinion about his good manners and respect for others?

Only Fox made an issue of this. Only Fox viewers care about it, as if it were important.

Excellent point, Candybar. btw, did you see the photos from President Obama's Asian tour on another thread? Just awesome.
