Here is information regarding a police officer who was involved in a deadly crash this past summer. This reminds me of the case down in New Jersey recently where the police office was found not guilty.

94 mph and not on an emergency call? Even if the teens were drunk, he should not be allowed to be ignoring the law himself, just because he could.

I just had what I thought was a great idea -- to shoot a GPS tracking device onto fleeing cars so LE wouldn't have to do these high-speed chases. Looks like that technology is already available:
