'I agreed to become a suicide bomber'

There were five people who came after me from a place in Bajaur. They tricked me. They told me they were going to behead my father.
I went with them but my father wasn't there. They tied me up.

They said: 'You have two choices. We will behead you, or you will become a suicide bomber.' I refused.

Harrowing account given by this poor boy.

hmmm, so we should feel sorry for the suicide bombers, if they are drugged and know not what they are doing, they are not the bad guys

Funny how we all take something different away from a story, I on the other hand thought what EVIL people the Taliban were for trying to force this booy boy to do such. I never once thought "poor suicide bomber".

I thought about the people that went through what this boy went trough the effects of the brainwashing and beatings and the drugs.... but they did blow up, I felt sorry for all the victims including the suicide bomber that knew not what he\she was doing, I guess I just saw the bigger picture of what you were presenting us with

Not at all, your initial statement was:

hmmm, so we should feel sorry for the suicide bombers, if they are drugged and know not what they are doing, they are not the bad guys

Which implies IMO ALL suicide bombers are to be felt sorry for and they are not the bad guys. Of course there are exceptions to the rule. Heck we have had unwilling suicide bombers here in the states ( pizza guy forced to rob bank, etc) this does not make it the rule for the Taliban though, they remain and EVIL faction in their extremist form.

It should make people realize just what we are up against in fighting this enemy. They are evil and apparently good at brainwashing or just forcing people to carry out their evil deeds. Yet, the liberals expect us to treat them with kid gloves and ask them nicely for information about future attacks, after they have been appointed a lawyer of course. We treat these people like innocent American citizens or try them as common criminals when they are obviously much, much more than that. The media is already making the trial in NY more about water boarding than about the thousands of deaths caused by evil, heartless terrorists who have no conscience. They already confessed, but who knows if their lawyers can get them off the hook. Anti-US terrorist masterminds being treated like American citizens. Who exactly will their jury of peers be? Do we have people here who can qualify as their peers or do we have to import some more terrorists to make it fair?

IMHO

please read my post again, I said IF they were drugged and did not know what they were doing, as in the story you posted

I said "hmmm, so we should feel sorry for the suicide bombers, if they are drugged and know not what they are doing, they are not the bad guys"
