RINOs and conservadems are cutting quite a swath these days -- making demands, frustrating their colleagues, wielding clout and even influencing elections. Not surprisingly, the nicknames aren't terms of endearment. GOP conservatives disparage GOP moderates as Republicans In Name Only. Democratic liberals apply the conservadems label to party brethren they consider obstructions to President Obama's agenda.

Just one of the pitfalls of a two-party system. There will always be people who don't fit comfortably into either party.

Sen. Joe Lieberman may be the cause of the death of the health care bill. I really wish Conn. could hold a recall election, but I hear they cannot, Joe is in there until 2012.

This poll was taken end of 08, there is a poll from earlier in 08 showing somewhat higher numbers but below 50% approval. Looking to see if any 09 figures available. It is interesting to note that Leibermann's office has been protested quite a bit lately regarding his position on health care. It doesn't appear that CT voters are pleased with Lieberman.
