White House communications director Anita Dunn will step down from her post at the end of the month and Dan Pfeiffer, her deputy, will take over, according to sources familiar with the move."

She was there as a temporary appointment, anyway, according to the article.
I fail to see the significance of this change.

I apologize. I found it to be news. Yes, it was expected, I just felt some may want to know that an actual date had been set. Again, I apologize to those who dont think it should have been news.

Paranoid much? IMO, it was just plain news, that I hadn't heard yet today.

Why should you apologize ninetoes? I didn't know it, so it was news to me...not terribly important news, but news is news to us news junkies, right? Folks are sure getting mighty touchie here lately. I wonder how they think the repubs felt when GWB was in office....LOL. I wan't too fond of him either, but the bashing filled this forum up and got rather redundant, didn't it?

She filled in for previous person who went to Commerce Dept, but will remain a consultant on communication and strategic ends.

I've been seeing a pattern- all around- where people automatically assume every thread started or every post is an attempt to insult the other side. No wonder there is little meaningful discussion sometimes. It's all news and worth discussing one way or the other.

Ive noticed it depends on who starts the threads. I guess there is now an assigned person who decides what is news, and what should be discussed. I also notice the same when it comes to what is a legit link. Some blogs, opinions etc are accpetable, others are not. I'll just sit back and let the new board police decide who can or cannot start threads, and what is or is not considered news worthy.

It's easy enough to figure what is newsworthy and what is not. If it disses Democrats; BO; anyone that BO appoints, is friends with, associated with or spoke of in a positive way; totally denigrates any party or platform that is not far left; etc., it is newsworthy and important. Otherwise it is a bash thread created not for newsworthiness or importance.
Funny how that works, isn't it? (This is NOT a reflection on the true moderators rather some posters who have deemed themselves the board police.)

Why don't you review the last 10 threads started by HiTower? Did any of them resemble an opportunity to have an honest discussion, or just a slap in the face to people who do not agree with him?
I get a bit hot under the collar when people start threads intended to slam one group of Americans or another. Don't you?
We should be discussing ISSUES here, not starting threads for ad-personam attacks, you agree?

I cannot believe this but yes, I agree with you. However, I do not see the same sentiment from you when threads are started about parties other than Democrats. I would like to see discussion of issues, too and not "the XX party is sooo mean" or the "YY party is sooo ugly". It is childish and resolves NOTHING in the whole political scheme of things. Pitting one against the other does not promote our country's needs and reminds me of the games played in Washington.

She was always expected to leave which is why they used her to do the silly attacking of FOX. This is a tactic used by administrations to try to distance the rest of the crowd from something that looks foolish.
Yes, I knew she was due to leave. I really just thought some may be interested in knowing an actual date had been set. Boy was I wrong.
Im sorry I ever started the dang thread, but will surely make sure I get approval from those who know what is important before starting another thread.

I think we are both very concerned Americans who love our country, no mater how we may disagree about some issues. I agree COMPLETELY with what you say. I am sorry for the games played in DC....when we have so many brave and wonderful military service members defending our right to disagree with each other. I saw that today on my TV from Fort Hood, Fort Hood is the real America, not DC.
We should all try to agree with some of what we each say more, and then point out the differences. We get more by doing so, and America, and people who read this board bet more, knowing we are both people who love our nation, but have differences ONLY in how we solve our mutual problems.
In the end, we both want each other, and every American to benefit and succeed.

(snip) Why should you apologize ninetoes?
Thank you, magy. Nine - ? Why are you apologizing? You have as much right to post something here as anyone else. If you want to post that the moon is made of cheese, post it. Preferably with a link, lol. People have the same right to refute it or simply ignore if they don't find it "newsworthy". No one, other than the moderation team, are the police here and they can not deem what is newsworthy or what should or should not be posted. In spite of the rudeness.
