I realize most of our posters watched this online and had a thread going then but I would like to comment on it now.
I will be so glad when Ashleigh and her guest are gone.They are driving me nuts.Just let us watch the trial already.

I have not followed this trial at all. I really don't know much about it. I just turned on Insession. I am not sure if I will be watching all day or not.

Not the same as watching uninterrupted testimony, is it? I wonder why they're bleeping out the address where this took place - the house isn't even there anymore.

I have not followed this trial at all. I really don't know much about it. I just turned on Insession. I am not sure if I will be watching all day or not.
If you start watching it, it's like a train wreck. You don't want to hear it, but it's too unbelievable not to watch and listen to what these defendants did to the victims.

I rather doubt the Thomas trial will be televised..unless it is after the fact..They do alot of editing of ofensive language and items like addresses, phone numbers etc...Doubt they would show "Live"..
However, I am certain it will be online..live streaming..on wbir or the other one cant recall the link right now..

Judge Baumgartner allows trials to be live streamed, so the Thomas trial will be streamed as the others were. All three Knoxville TV stations (WBIR, WLTV, WATE) have been streaming the trials
I believe Cobbins will be brought back to Knoxville for sentencing on the "lesser" offenses on November 20. There will be victim impact statements on those according to a report I saw in August. This will likely be live streamed.
Daphne Sutton is on the stand now..She is one lucky girl..as she could have very easily got caught up directly into this horror show had she not decided to leave that house on Chipman street..I am sure she is not an angel..but I do think there was some angel looking out for her in this whole thing...
What happen to Vanessa Coleman, could have been exactly how Daphne would have been involved. Hanging around thugs like these guys, who sell drugs, steal whatever they want and use guns when they want to force or intimidate...is something all young people should know to stay away from!! It is truly a subculture of society that most parents hope and pray their children stay away from..at least most normal parents!!

they were going to give VC immunity to talk in the beginning so would not surprise me if DS knew after the fact and got immunity for testifying at 3 trials so far I dont know why but for some reason I have thought she knew more I did not watch it on IS I watched it live but she does alot more crying in the Cobbins trial I guess she is getting used to seeing those clothes she did not shed a tear in Davidson's trial IIRC. JMO

IIRC DS moved in with Davidson 2 weeks after meeting him thank goodness her kids were not around there and VC she was there she did nothing to help them 2 kids from being tortured and murdered and did not even have a problem cooking her food and smoking her pot as CC was being raped and tortured by her B/F and his thugs :cursing:

I feel that cobbins should of automatically been sent to the death chair as soon as he admitted all the horrific things he did to this young couple. He has no type of remorse. The only reason why he is apologizing to the families is because he got caught. Cobbins must die!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE DONT EVEN DESERVE A TRAIL.HES GUILTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, apparently the Chistians & Newsoms had been trying to contact government/prison officials about Cobbins being sent to a minimum+medium security prison, rather than a maximum security and never got answers.. But during Davidson's trial -- Gary complained to the media and finally a local Senator heard their grief and got Cobbins' relocated to a maximum security prison.

Gary Christian is about to be on Insessions - Jack Ford will be interviewing him after the break.
Jack just said if he was given this case while he was a defense attorney - he wouldn't be able to do it.. He has been the lawyer on many death penalty cases, but this one he couldn't do. Phil Spector's lawyer, Jennifer Barringer, said she could.. (what a surprise.. :rolleyes: )

I realize he doesn't have a choice in defending this monster but to ask the forensic pathologist over and over and over..."my client had nothing to do with the death of Channon Christian"?! Seriously, the moment "Rome" didn't pick the phone up and call the police or someone to help this couple, he played a part in her death. It shouldn't matter that he didn't touch the trash bag in which she died horrifically, he was there and he did NOTHING to help her. Two beautiful people are dead, all four of this group should have the death penalty. None of them even deserve a trial. There should be a questionnaire.
1. Did you call the police?
NO? then you get the death penalty
2. Did you help Channon or Chris?
NO? then you get the death penalty
3. Did you watch them suffer?
YES? then you get the death penalty
It would save so much time and money. Not to mention the pain the families are going through.
If for no other reason, "Rome" claiming he got her a glass of water in exchange for oral sex, should be enough to condemn him. He has no soul. Therefore, the state would only be getting rid of a body.
This case has ripped my heart out like none other.

I'm starting to think that maybe Vanessa was the one that possibly 'kicked' or 'struck' Channon in her genital area. For some reason I don't think any of the guys did that, since they were already raping her. It seems more like something she would do because of her boyfriend's interest in Channon and his continued disappearance into the room she was being kept in. I also think she may have been the one pouring the bleach to help cover up what had happened... not just standing by while that was going on. :cursing:

I thought he was awful for defending Cobbins. That being said, at least Green didnt go after Channon and Chris like Eldridge and Trant did. I wish they would have gotten disbarred after putting those kids on trial to save their scumbag client's a@@!!

Many of us watched the Cobbins trial live, back in August. TruTV is carrying the taped trial now. I don't watch during the day, but I think maybe they put it on hold and carried the Nowak hearing this afternoon. Maybe it will be back on in the morning.

Never in my life have I seen anything as disgusting as L Davidson's trial. I don't know how the parents have survived what happened to Channon and Chris. It looks like it is eating Gary alive. Heartbreaking to see them at the trials.

I missed that, but how a defense attorney could say that is beyond my imagination. Is he aware that the ME stated that Channon was either beaten or raped with an object due to the severe injuries she sustained. (in addition to the gang rapes she endured)...and that bleach was allegedly poured down her throat and into her gaping wounds WHILE she was alive - in an effort to get rid of the DNA evidence.. and she was shoved into a trash can - folded up -- while still alive.... all 5'91/2" of her -- fit so snug that she had an indention on her face from her knee (I think her knee?) being wedged so tightly into her face. where she slowly suffocated to death?
If this is not one of the "worst of the worst" crimes, then what is?

The only true punishment for these four scum-bag,ruthless,animals, is to be gagged,handcuffed,shackled, and turned over to the families of the two victums with NO limits of what they can do to each and every one of them! Modern day method of the death sentence is too easy for these scum of the earth individuals. Life in prison is also too easy in this country............... our prisons present a better way of life than most convicted individuals had on the outside.....tv's,entertainment,recreation,medical, a roof over their heads,three squares a day,weight rooms,computer access, and on and on and on. Its no wonder why there are so many repeat offenders returning to our prison system..... other than having freedom to the "outside", they have it all. Shameful in my feeble opinion. I read that somebody by the name of Cold Water here is a pedophile and a crack head who gets off their kicks by banning people. Is this true or should I ignore this? Cobbins was supposed to be sentened on the "lesser charges" on November 20. The sentencing was postponed until February 4.

anyone know of anything knew with eric boyd and george thomas like when will their transcripts be out? It's driving me nuts not being able to read them!

Many of us watched the Cobbins trial live, back in August. TruTV is carrying the taped trial now. I don't watch during the day, but I think maybe they put it on hold and carried the Nowak hearing this afternoon. Maybe it will be back on in the morning.
When you watched the Cobbins trial in August, was it on TruTV? If not, where/how did you watch it?
Do you know when Cobbins's brother's (the "ring leader") trial will be aired? Will it be live? Another post said that all the Tennessee stations are streaming the cases live. How can I access their coverage on the web when it takes place?
Finally, what's happening to In Session after this Friday? Will trial coverage continue on the CNN Headlines News channel? What will the hours be? Who will the anchors be? Any info would be appreciated. It seems like the In Session anchors have been told not to give out any details on the air. All they have said is that their coverage, as it is now, is over come Friday....Thanks.....
