I just logged into myspace and there is a bulletin from Josh Duckett about a candle vigil tommorrow, in Tampa, with many missing childrens families attending. There is a ? next to the family of Caylee Anthony.
Tommorrow 9/11, is also the date Amanda Brown was murdered.:rose:

Oh man - that is a sad occasion. And bet you my last dollar that the Anthony's won't be anywhere NEAR that place.

Yup.
There have been many "no body" cases which led to a conviction. Skylar Deleon was just convicted of the murders of Tom and Jackie Hawks, whose bodies were never found because he dumped them at sea. He was convicted on first degree murder charges.
Kenny Kimes and his mommy dearest, Sante, were both convicted of murder, for the murder of Irene Silverman. Silverman's body has never been found.

Oh you can best believe that CASEY is angry that she was found.
IMO
Oh, I forget to mention something lastnight that I heard on the news. Willie Craine, murderer of Amanda Brown, is in court this week, trying to get a new trial.
Roy Brown, who, through the early years, could be seen alone, looking into Tampa Bay, hoping the waters could give up her remains, has said, that he would like to see Willie Craine taken off of death row and given LWOP, if Willie would just tell him where he can find his Daughter's remains.
O/T, I know. But this is how a real grieving Father feels. He could have just as easily said his Daughter is still alive because her remains haven't been found. JMO

Thank you.
Now, not being contentious here but...they didn't have a COD in the SP case either and they did go for and got the DP.
Is there a diff with that between states? SP was Calif. Casey-Florida.
I do agree that if the State is going to go for the DP they better do it soon.
I am part of the 'hope Casey gets the DP' camp. I guess that's why I'm trying to sort this all out in my mind.
Willie Craine is sitting on Florida DR for killing Amanda Brown. Not only did the state not have the COD, they didn't have her body. And still don't. She's never been found.

But from what I've learned from Lapis, the DP would have had to be invoked before the 45 day time limit (from arraignment) was up...in these other cases, even tho there may have been no COD or even remains the DP WAS invoked prior to the 45 day limit...and apparently were found guilty and DP was sentenced...
In this case, since the DP was not "charged" within the 45 day time limit, it is off the table...unless (I may have gotten this part wrong) COD is determined & then it could be brought back into play. (EEK...that sounds so callous).

Ahhhh, thanks for that.
Ok, so it's not just a matter of states.
Wow, they got the DP with no body!
I'm not familiar with the case.

Wait maybe it is too early for me..Is the Kidfinders or someone else:confused:
No, It's not Kid Finders.
It is Roy Brown, Father of Amanda Brown. And the Aunt of less known, Zachary Berhnhart [sp].

I find these two statements from the LE press release confusing and contradictory:
Lt. Johhny Greenwood, in the press release stated,"At this point, the evidence and investigatory effort has minimized the likelihood that Haleigh’s disappearance is the work of a stranger. There is no specific individual whom investigators have identified as a person of interest."
then:
"Investigators still contend that Misty Croslin-Cummings continues to hold important answers in the case. According to the release, "She (Misty) has failed to provide any sort of detailed accounting of the hours during the late evening and early morning of Haleigh’s disappearance. Furthermore, physical evidence at the scene contradicts Misty’s sketchy account of her evening activities."
If Misty's account of what happened that evening is so important to the case, if they believe she is deliberately withholding information that might implicate her in HaLeigh's disappearance, why hasn't she been identified as a "person of interest"? If they feel she really is, IMO they need to come right out and say so.
Obviously LE believes there is a chance she wasn't in the trailer that night because they are still looking for witnesses who may have seen her. If they think she wasn't in the trailer, why would they feel it isn't likely that this could be a stranger abduction?
If Misty invited someone into her life, that wouldn't be a 'stranger'.
I'm thinking of the Amanda Brown murder and how her Mom picked up a man at a bar and brought him home. He was a RSO and Amanda and Willie Craine were gone in the morning when she woke up.
Hypothetical here, but if Misty met up with someone, or some people, at another location for a few hours, and then brought, say, a man, back to the trailer, even briefly....
But why not tell? I'm bothered by the fact she's given LE contradictory statements, and now LE is saying that her accounts are not matching things in the home.
They sound so confident that a stranger didn't come to that trailer in the middle of the night.

Photos from the walk (if it is not too close to lunchtime)

Oh gosh, I haven't clicked on the link. But I know what it is. How dare they show up at memorials for Amanda Brown and Zachary Bernhard.:cursing: Sept. 11th is a different kind of anniversary for these families.

9/11 is NOT in rememberance of missing children FGS! The worst terrorist attack on the US and they thought they'd use it to what?
The Anthony's couldn't further their own agenda if they actually thought about these other people who were killed. They're going to hang on to the "missing" "Kidnapped" angle.
The walk was organized by A-Z Missing Children's Outreach Center, a group started by Roy Brown and B.J. Jimenez.
The "A" is for Roy Brown's daughter, Amanda. She was kidnapped on September 11, 1998. The "Z" is for Jimenez's nephew, Zachary Bernhardt. He was abducted on September 11, 2000.

Two months ago, Roy Brown got a letter. It was written on the 11th Anniversary of his Daughter Amanda's death, by her killer, Willie Craine.
Craine has agreed to meet with Brown.

Craine has cancer too. Another Couey freak who will probably die naturally instead of the state carrying out his death sentence.
This is something Roy wants to do. If and when it finally happens, I hope it brings him some form of closure. Even if Craine tells him exactly where he dumped Amanda's body, it will never be found {in the bay}, unless, prosecutors have had it wrong all along. And Craine buried her, somewhere.

Sad yes, but why posted here ...isnt this the Haleigh thread?
Hard to tell, seems the last posts are about some SO. Other than candle links I've seen very little of what this board is supposed to be about.

I hate to even think it but hunting season is a time when little remains are found quite often. Not sure when the deer hunting season opens and closes but I imagine that would be soon around that county.
Hoping Haleigh is still alive.

Killer sends letters to father of victim
http://www.myfoxtampabay.com/dpp/news/local/hillsborough/willie-crain-letters-120909
The POS is just jerking Roy Brown's chains. Now he's saying he didn't abduct and kill Amanda.
Guess the prisons decision to not allow the meeting was justified. Willie Craine is a monster and has no honest intentions.

My heart hurts for this dad whose little 7 yr old was murdered. That killer is probably having a great time playing with the dad's emotions! I know the dad hopes the killer will at least tell him where his baby girl is on the day of the excution but I have my doubts. The killer is going to enter hell with that secret because it makes him feel so powerful to hurt the dad of Amanda.
I think of all of the little ones who have been murdered or are still missing and I don't know how the parents stay sane. I don't think I would be that strong of a person.
