for her family to find after she passed away. What a special little girl. They have turned the notes along with journal entries into a book where all the profits go to cancer research. The link not only has the story but photo's of some of the notes..little smarty even hid them in the old xmas decorations!

These are the heartbreaking notes a six-year-old cancer victim hid for her family to find after she died.

Elena Desserich was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer when she was just five years old.

During her nine-month struggle with the illness, Elena, from Wyoming, hid hundreds of notes between the pages of books, in cupboards, drawers, bags, and clothes stashed away for the winter.

Well, that just set me off crying. What a lovely thing for that little darling to do for her family. I will be looking for that book! RIP, Elena

I saw this story & was truly moved. My 7 year old grand daughter is healthy, but so intuned with life, I could see her putting her thoughts to paper in a situation like this. What an inspiration from our babies....
