Carrie said she did not support Gay Marriage. She did not say she did not support Sex - gay or straight.
There is absolutly no evidence that Carrie "preached morals" to anyone but stated her opinion in response to a question, which as far as I know is still legal in the USA. Clearly, as Maine and California both rejected gay marriage with their votes, as have many other states, Carrie actually is in the majority with her opinion.

LOL - so true! She "forgot" about that? under the circumstances it was just very kind of them to pay her attorneys - so she gets to walk away with nothing - not even a bunch of bills she can't pay. Or maybe she hoped the video would be made public - starting her new career? Interesting time for her book to come out now - wonder if it has pictures.

I am not horrified, I think she is a hypocrite, spouting God and morals when it comes to Gay marriage, then video tapes a sexual act, apparently alone, that is also, a no-no in the same Bible she stood on to condemn Gay Marriage.
As far as the Folsom Fair, believe it or don't, but not every Homosexual in the country supports it, just like not every Heterosexual that supports equal rights finds that that street fair a beacon of the Homosexual community.

The biggest issue I have with these events is that many are on public streets having sex along with other sick displays in full view of children.
Understandable, I don't want my kids to see people 'macking down' on their lover in public, Gay or Straight. Holding hands, a kiss, that is just fine with me.

I've not read a single word about the tape being done for 'personal use' or without the knowledge of Carrie PreJean.
Therefore, can I surmise it was done with her full knowledge and SIGNED approval? Knowing full well it could have been made public at some point?
Since the existence of this tape has been made public, with no threats of suits from CP for invasion of privacy, I also surmise there may be several of them in a library somewhere. Perhaps scripted with other players?

Just like the laws are allowed to be broken by New Orleans for Mardi Gras.
If you want to condemn all homosexuals because of a display by homosexuals, shouldn't you condemn all heterosexuals because of displays - at Mardi Gras or that Exotic Ball, or elsewhere, by heterosexuals?

Do you have that much of a problem with Mardi Gras, and events like the one McCain and his wife spent two days campaigning at where nudity and sexual acts are the main theme of some of the annual events? And don't forget all the yearly events where "show me your boobs" is a common refrain because it is well responded to. Some of those listed above occur in very red states and cities and parents attend them with children in tow.

I dunno Details. Giving an honest answer to a question asked on live National TV is not in my opinion, casting stones. Carrie voiced no judgements about gay marriage or gay people. She just voiced her non support of gay marriage. Which, of course, is right in line with Ca and Maine reputating it in their election as has many other states. Are the State voters casting stones, too? The question itself had no place at a beauty pageant and Mario/Perez was pushing his own agenda.

All the other girls were also asked controversial questions - it's part of the pageant - the bit where they pretend this is not just a shallow beauty competition, but is supposed to be about their intellect and ability to speak well too. Her answer was something that indeed a majority agree with, but it was inarticulate, inaccurate, really not good. The judge was out of line speaking about it as more than just an answer - but that doesn't change the quality of the answer. This silly notion that it was the controversy that lost her the competition, rather than the fact that she was behind on points and did not answer well - that's what I object to.

What would those stones be?
She was asked a direct question, to which she responded with an opinion that differs from yours? Good gravy, grow up.
So much for the party of tolerance! HYPOCRITE.Stones would be the suggestion she lost and is being persecuted for her opinion. A contestant behind on points who answers a question inarticulately, with HUGE inaccuracies, then claims she lost because of bias? To break her contract repeatedly? She's throwing plenty of stones.
Her answering the question - I have no problem with. I've good friends who voted Yes on Prop 8 - and they're still good friends. I know people who just don't think it's what God wants for gays to get married - but also believe it's never their place to force their religious views to be honored by others - they're still good friends, and I respect their opinion. It's everything AFTER answering the question that is the problem.

I do support gay marriage and believe in equal opportunity divorce, such as the plus 50% rate in our country. Here's what she said:Well I think it's great that Americans are able to choose one way or the other. We live in a land where you can choose same-sex marriage or opposite marriage. You know what, in my country, in my family, I think I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, no offense to anybody out there. Not a single word from the PreJean camp about the tape being "invasion of privacy" or "distributed without her consent" or any of those other legal terms. There have been no pleas to the court to stop it. We would have heard about a legal wrangle.
The film is for sale. Nobody is buying.
Last night Keith Olberman said (he was told) the legal team started playing the tape, showing the graphic details, but no face. CP said it was totally disgusting and couldn't understand why they would roll such a vile tape in her presence.
Then....... it panned to the face of the 'actress'......
Oops!
The case was immediately settled.
When this all came down a few months ago, I posted that she'd never win against Donald Trump. He'd not leave a stone unturned. Donald Trump gave her the chance to back off. Probably has a whole library of those tapes if she pulls anything else.
I have a question, though. If these proceedings were sealed, how are we hearing about it?

JMO
I think only the terms of the settlement were sealed, but from what I have seen she got no $$$, just the rights to her book still standing - lol
wonder how many on the right have canceled that pre-order

Yes Carrie has a degree from, of all places, a Christian University and as it turns out did make a complete sentence.:ohmy::ohmy: I've been trying to google this - read she was a senior at San Diego Christian College in the spring of '09 - but didn't see any reports of her graduating. Either way I guess they won't have her on any advertised list of "distinguished graduates".
sounds like she was thrown under the bus...

Link showing that. I have found nothing saying she graduated. If you can't prove it, and it's not a personal fact, You should not post it as the truth.
All I can find is that she was a junior as of May 2009. Might have had to drop out to attend to "other" things. She may follow in others footsteps and take a few more years to graduate.

San Diego Christian College.
There mission is on their web site. I don't know that Carrie has influenced the world with the kind of knowledge they're talking about here.
The mission of San Diego Christian College is to equip Christians to contribute to society and thereby influence the world through knowledge, skills, and godly character within the framework of biblical and scientific creationism, and the authority and inerrancy of the Scripture.

Easy!!!:biggrin::biggrin: Folks start somewhere. We don't arrive on the scene fully accomplished even the lovely Sarah, Ann and Michelles. And that would be beauty Queen. I am a firm believer that all WORK is honorable including the strippers. Supporting ourselves through our own contributions is major. Far as I know, Carrie participated in a Beauty Contest, made some money coming in 2nd place and was assualted by Mario/Perez in his internet column when the answer to his biased question backfired on him and Carrie went with the majority opinion of the folks in America. The NOW gals, forgetting their role as defenders of all women, just not the Left Wing girls dropped their ball by ignoring the event until their loss of numbers and donations put them in the red. The loss starting, of course, with their failure to take up the cause of sexism expressed against both the Governor and Senator Hillary.
OMGosh, Carrie did not graduate from College yet cause she was working? Who would have thought?
Okay, I'll bite. Whats Carrie's low that even Sarah, Ann and the two Michelle's were unable to reach?
The omg is you made a mistake, but then repeated it as a lie, ABC. That's wrong and you know it. The low would be a sex tape........Because you might have an infatuation with these rw women doesn't make them good, or bad, that would be their actions that do so, and that is in the individual's opinion.
:huh: HUH??????????? LAME!:laugh::laugh:
Well, I never lie and pretty much never make mistakes, either. The low is a little sex tape? Where does WORK come into that? The WORK Carrie did was participate in a huge Beauty pageant, not put out soft porn for sale. Surely, don't consider respect for achievement an infatuation and in particular, women who do it ON Their Own, without a man dragging them along for the ride cause they happen to marry them in their youth.
I do like Carrie electrifies Conservative Base. Thanks for the Link.

Voicing her opinion was fine, I'm speaking of what she's done since then - the suggestions that she lost due to politics, what she says about gays, etc.
I so agree with this. I cannot believe there are still folks who think these pageants instill so much in young girls today. I've heard it all --- how it promotes self-worth and security. Why was there a need to equip Carrie with new breasts if it is about her mind?
This is and will continue to be a body fest for all those interested. No matter how they package it --- its all about beauty. A way to put women in their place......where they are seen and not heard despite the "question and answer" section.

I just wonder who gave the tape to the Trump camp. Supposedly, one of her boyfriends recorded the modeling session.

You can't have ANYTHING out there that would embarrass the pageant. No sex tapes, no nude photos, no racist rants on Facebook, no nothing. A Miss America winner some years ago lost the crown because of nude photos from the past. They are asked and supposed to indicate clearly that there is NOTHING like that out there.
Aside from the fact that the release of the tape would be really embarrassing, it also absolutely kills her case - not only did she fail to live up to contracted obligations as she went around campaigning against gay rights (which she maybe figured she could get a jury sympathetic to her views there) - but she's got this tape that should not exist.

Of course she's had sex, and done who knows what in private - and so long as that wouldn't break any laws or be something really bad - I don't see how having it on tape should matter. Show me a racist rant on tape - then I see the problem.

IIRC several other State Miss USA winners had been dethroned during this cycle. All that happens is they lose the crown and go on about whatever business they want. Case closed as far as the Pageant goes.
Donald Trump allowed her a second chance to finish her reign as Miss California. There is absolutely no way he was not aware of the e-mails used for the excuse to eventually dethrone her. IMO, Donald Trump already knew about the tape(s), but was allowing her to save face a bit.
CP insisted on suing. DT knew she was being used by groups who wanted to further a personal agenda. When CP refused to drop the suit, she left no alternative but for the Pageants attorneys to bring out the 'big guns'. Man o man what a blood bath that was.

I think the morality clauses they have are pretty ridiculous and over the top - unless it's illegal or something really awful - who cares. Of course she's had sex, and done who knows what in private - and so long as that wouldn't break any laws or be something really bad - I don't see how having it on tape should matter. Show me a racist rant on tape - then I see the problem.
But - it is part of the contract, and people have lost even the Miss America crown before over it.
If this was nothing more than a private tape, we would have heard a loud and boisterous rebuttal from CP's camp.

The Pageant (Donald Trump) warned her through her attorney. The attorney said they were bluffing. Carrie PreJean led the attorney to believe there was nothing else out there.
I'm astonished Donald Trump is doing so much to protect this girl.
WAS doing, not is. LOL - after all of his efforts to suppport her she went up against The Donald with her suit and they crushed her. It may have started out as just a private tape - and who knows if it will ever the light of day in the general public. (hope not) But the tape is "disgusting" according to reports of what she said when they started playing it for her - before they got to the part where it showed her face. OOPS. And her mom was there with her? Poor mom. I thought her "racy" photos (with the wind blowing) were lovely and she can go on to do more for big bucks.
But she really could help a lot of young women who think its fun to make "private" sex tapes only to find out that they are not at all private after awhile. Oh - forgot - Paris Hilton already got that message out. I wonder if CP's tapes were made before or after Paris" tapes? Oh well.

hey i aint a defender of hers. i am tired of her constantly playing the victim card and i certainly don't think she has anything to contribute in the political or cultural realm.

"She's trying to act like she's a nun... so maybe she should release the sex tape and people would see whether or not she is a nun," Donald tells "Extra."
At the end of the day, Trump chalks up Carrie's revelations to self-promotion.

I think part of this whole thing that has been missed is that if those tapes had surfaced and she won the Miss USA pageant - she could have been stripped of her title which is why her lawsuit means nothing now due to their contractual clauses. Remember Vanessa Williams? TMZ is not exactly known to have "morals" and they said they've had the tape for months but wouldn't show it because it was just too racy and if they backed down without even seeing the entire tape must have known it violated the Miss USA's contracts. Yes, it's so amusing. On the Today Show, Carrie said that this is part of a campaign against her, to silence her because of the answer she gave at the contest. Honestly, In the beginning, I really felt proud of her for standing up for her beliefs. But now, HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH, I can't stop, thinking this woman is so befuddeled with her ownself, she is a laughing stock.
So, she made this (sex tape) or whatever you would call it, as a special present to her then bf when she was 17? So her values may have changed, geesh. She says, Hey I am a model in the interview, what was that supposed to mean, models everywhere are prone to this behavior? So then, her BF must have kept this tape and sold it for some buckaroos? She says she does not know. But, now she has a book out to warn all young girls about the dangers of taking erotic pics and sending them out on cell phones, which could lead to internet, twitter etc.
I think the Donald had her # way back, sure he had his peeps do some checking and Waallaa, had the scoop. A name change should be in order very soon, she is toast, put the fork in her, she is done. Twit for sure. Wonder who published the book, old boyfriend? JMO

She got off easy with those first pics, she should not have pushed her luck and the issue by writing her self serving tell all......that well, ugh, did not tell ALL!
I always thought as time went on she may have changed her mind about gay marriage and all that. Now I do not think that side of the issue would have her. Now what?
My sons used to think she was so hot. Now they see right through her, even before this tape, it has been a good lesson for them. You cannot just a book by it's cover and buyer beware.

I did not see Larry King tonight. But just knowing this is Ex-Miss California and that drama seems to follow her wherever she goes I can only imagine what the interview was like.
She completely controlled the interview and made him look like an amateur. At one point she took off her mic but didn't leave.....she just threatened to.
Larry should have told her to get off but instead he allowed himself to be abused by a 22 year old bimbo.
And she was there to sell her book......she should have been grateful..
You hit it on the head....she's a real drama queen.

Ugh... I wish they would just quit giving her coverage. I was shocked to find out there is a whole support group for her on facebook. You'd think people woul dhave more worthy causes
I would think we all had more important causes and stuff to post about then a beautiful gal but obviously not. Don't watch almost anything on CNN except for Lou and he just quit. Will take in the Larry King repeat tonight to catch the interview. Had no idea Carrie was on the show so thanks for the notification.:ohmy: Like the Governor, Carrie gets the Left Wing goin. Can't be a bimbo if she brought olde Larry to a halt.

I think he was totally confused. Apparently no one told him that her publicist (whom I assume is who's telling her what to do - take the mic off and walk out) said no phone calls would be allowed. She didn't leave btw. They came back from the commercial and finished the interview.

Weren't her implants (or the money they cost) recalled because the beauty pagent paid for them or something like that? It also seems at least a couple of people are saying she's lied about them in her book and may sue her - I was just watching the tape of her on The View

My favorite is the way she blames everybody else for digging up the dirt.
I don't think they had to do a whole lot of digging. Plus, there's probably a whole lot more.
Yesterday (11/10) Barbara Walters told Carrie PreJean Donald Trump may sue for what was published. CP said several times there were 50 other contestants who would testify to verify what CP wrote was true. CP is naive. Whoopi was rolling her eyes like crazy at those ridiculous statements by CP. It was funny.

Maybe its some sort of social progress that this woman can get breast augmentation, have semi-nude photos taken and published and have a "sex tape" come out of the woodwork and still have the nerve to claim she is conservative and religious.
Or maybe this woman is a hypocritical fame hound, with "values" that are only skin deep, if that.
Supposedly she is friends with Palin- what a surprise.
You know, what I found offensive in her Pagent speech on gay marriage was not that she was against it, but that she said something like "in MY country" it's not ok.

Did anyone else catch that she initially told Larry that he was being "appropriate"? Then someone off camera told her that the word was "inappropriate" and she changed what she was saying after that. She still is having problems expressing herself using clear, correct language. In my opinion, that is what the problem was with her initial answer in the pagent. It was not what she said (we all have a right to our own opinions) but that what she said was unclear and incorrect. She said we all have the right to choose and we don't. We all have the right to have different opinions but that is not the same as having the right to choose marriage regardless of our sexual orientation.

imoWell - if he was a hardcore host, he'd have taken caller questions about her, and answered them with his own answers from whatever research and news stories they had. That no doubt would not be what she'd want to happen, and would be a good lesson for the next guest who thought they owned the interview.

Carrie PreJean was not singled out for that question. Any of those contestants could have drawn it from the bowl of cards.
That "My country" reply seemed like she was projecting herself to already being the contestant in the Miss Universe pageant.
On LKL Carrie PreJean said she thinks women need to stick together (against the perceived attacks against herself:confused:). How about CP stops presuming what she has to say is what I want to say.
That appearance on LKL was a joke. She's a conceited, ill informed, arrogant brat.

i found her incredibly irritating on that show..and larry was clearly taken aback. i mean anyone who has seen his show knows he asks the hard or provocative questions.
its one thing to say "i cant answer that"...i can buy that but it was like she was saying "LARRRRRY stop being a journalist...you are interfering with MYY side of the story"...
and i agree that if i were her i would not take phone calls..but she simply could have stayed onair..TOLD larry she would not and that it had been agreed upon. taking off the mic and just sitting there..THIS is how someone who is doing a media tour thinks is the right way to handle a situation?

Sorry but I think LK was being inappropriate. I guarantee that her publicist had squared away with producers what could be asked and what could not be asked. She told him that mediation was confidential and could not discuss it, but he kept on.
I am not a fan or a foe of CP. I don't think much about the girl honestly.. I disagree 100% with her stance on gay marriage, but believe that everyone has a right to an opinion and that's what makes our country great. That people have their own minds, personalities, ideals, morals based on life experience, religion, etc.
Why do people care about her opinion is what gets me.. FGS, she was in a beauty pageant and asked a Q.. The haters are the ones who post about her the most (like perezhilton & harvey levin @ tmz) & have made her famous.. Isn't ironic, doncha think?

I agree with Carrie's assertion that she is being "Palinized".
The media has been relentless in demonizing this woman.
She is human. Although I do not agree, she made a tape for a man she had a commitment with. Now, because the media and gay marriage proponents do not like her viewpoints, they feel it is quite okay to make this girl out to be a floozy and try their hardest to wreck her life in the public eye.
All because she gave an opinion that did not fit the media's and the Democrat party's mold.

I think they went after her because of her behavior after what she said the night of the pageant. The group that hired her to be their spokesperson tried to use her to push their agenda and she went right along with them.
I also think she kinda likes all this attention. Negative attention is better than no attention at all.

If that tape was done before she reached theage of majority, this whole mess would have been shut down a long time ago.
As I linked earlier, the boyfriend told TMZ she wanted him to lie that she was 17. Really, she was 20.
