The actress, 58, has signed on to star in a new reality series for A&E, which will follow her as she juggles trying to lose weight with life as a single mom to two teenagers in Hollywood.

I hate to say this................. I might watch it.
Why do i get sucked in to watching these reality shows?
Does anyone want to join me in a 12 step reality show program?
:blushing:
Didn't she already have a show like that before on Showtime? I remember renting it on DVD awhile ago. It was rather funny. John Travolta even guest starred on an episode.

Sign me up! I'm not hooked on a lot of reality shows, but even one is probably too much!
So far, there's Gene Simmons Family Jewels, Biggest Loser, Torrie & Dean, Clean House, and even the occasional episode of J&K+8.

That was a scripted show, but it played like a reality show. It was funny.

Me too! There are soooo many now. I have to pick and chose because there is just not enough time to watch them all. Right now, I've gotten back into Biggest Loser and Little People, Big World, but the way it is going, it's probably the last season. Yeah, the Roloffs may be on the way to Jon and Kate land. TLC is on a roll. I hope the LIttle Couple makes it. LOL.

:blushing: Probably - darn it! I see its on A&E - I was hoping it would be on HBO or something I don't have a subscription to. Oh well - she is smart and funny and it should be good.

This is funny~~~ I just twitted to TLC and ask them if the Roloffs are heading to splitsville, and ask what happened to the show What Not to Wear.

I just read a UTUB blog stating that What Not to Wear may be back in 2010 sometime - but TLC has angered viewers who have been asking about the show and they not given any explantion as to what is going on.

Kirstie had a show called "Fat Actress", IIRC. It showed her trying to revive her career in Hollywood. One of those scripted/reality shows like "Larry David Show". Scripted situations, unscripted dialog.
Her neighbor was Mayim Bialik (Blossom). Bit of trivia..... Mayim Bialik has a PhD in neuroscience. Impressive.

You are right. The show was very much like Curb Your Enthusiasm, except I liked it much more. It was actually very funny. I think Kirstie is quite funny. You have to give her some respect for being brave enough to do anything on camera since her weight re-gain. I don't know how she does it. I think I would move to a foreign country or something.

You know, I have to agree with you. If I were famous and had gained and lost and gained again, I would do the best I could to stay away from any place where someone might take my picture!
I've always liked Kirstie and I will probably watch her new show. I hope she can get control of her eating and exercise issues and get healthier. I thought she looked incredible after she lost the weight this last time, even though she wasn't as skinny as she had been at one time. She looked healthy and happy. I wish that for her, like I do for everybody!

The good news about many of these reality shows is that they don't last the whole year - only for about six or eight weeks.
Does anyone know how many weeks Kirstie's new show will air - and when?
Thanks very much!
