On Oct. 22, the Fletchers went to the Haines City Police Department to file a report but were told by police there was nothing they could do because Holmes was an adult. Fletcher said she and her mother left frustrated.
But Haines City officials said they did take the information.
"I'm sorry that we didn't give them the customer service that they wanted, but we entered it into the system," said police Captain Brian Rall. BBM
That statement really, really hits me wrong.
(The Fletchers are Ronkeya's mom and sister)

A week later, Holmes traveled back to Winter Haven and spent days trying to get her daughter back. Her daughter's father says on October 18th he met Holmes to hand over the child at the Haines City Wal-mart.:sneaky:
Police say that other than the father's statement, they haven't been able to obtain any evidence that the child exchange actually occured.

Her cousin was driving around in her car and was arrested on charges he violated his probation on DUI and other charges.
The problem LE is faced with are inconsistencies in statements made by the family.

It was the baby's father's cousin who was driving the car, not the mother's. I think the inconsistencies are with the father's family, rather than with the mother's, but not sure.
Also, the cousin said that the father asked him to drive the car over to the east coast (maybe to make it look like she went to Daytona and vanished from there?). Very bad situation. At least the FBI has finally managed to get involved.

Ughh. This is not looking good.
I wonder if something happened to the baby prior to the mother going down there. The father can't produce the child, the mother threatens to contact authorities so the father "takes care of her?"
IMO

Timeline.
So, 2 days after Ronkeya supposedly met Masaraha's father in Wal Mart parking lot AND father's cousin was arrested while driving Ronkeya's car, her sister talked to her?
Oct. 20, Fletcher had a phone conversation with Holmes. Fletcher states that Holmes told her that her car had been towed when Wilcox was stopped by police and arrested. Holmes would not tell Fletcher where she was and that she had Masaraha with her. Holmes also told Fletcher that she (Holmes) would "take care of everything."
ETA: Fletcher, 31, of Alma, Ga., is Holmes' sister.

The family of a missing mom and her 3 and a half year old daughter are hoping someone will come forward with information on their whereabouts.
Family members from Georgia are in Winter Haven, Florida handing out flyers and talking to police.
29-year old Ronkeya Holmes was in Florida to pick up her daughter.
The child's father says he handed her over at a Haines City Wal-Mart but police haven't found any evidence to back up that claim.
