I know I don't post here often but thought I'd throw in my 2 cents about the tantrums and the bath tub. I think people may be taking Cindy's response to the question, "did Caylee have tantrums?" out of context. Many people find it relaxing to soak in the bath tub. It's therapeutic, IMO. Cindy had to acknowledge that (gasp) her 2 year old grandchild did indeed suffer from a case of "the terrible two's" because LE had found a book earmarked "tantrums". Maybe she did give her a bath to help calm her down when she was tired and cranky. There's nothing nefarious about helping a child settle by a soothing bath.

I've always been concerned about someone taking a photo of an obviously distressed Caylee where she's crying (wearing a red football jersey) and Casey posting it on her photo bucket. What kind of mom would post that picture? I was not aware that there is a video of Caylee in the bath tub crying (as someone posted earlier). How disturbing! There's always an ulterior motive behind Cindy's explainations, particularly when she goes into great detail and it's usually to cover or explain away Casey's inappropriate behavior. Did she mention this bath thing to try to explain away why Casey video taped her daughter having a melt down in the tub. Does the video really exist? Any one have a link?

Good morning everyone. I can't get over how slow this board has become, where is everyone???

I have been reading the timelines as posted by Valhall, over at the Hinky Meter site. Very interesting, especially the timeline for June 16th.

I am not sure that I think the Bathtub thing is as bad as everyone is making it seem. I don't agree with sticking a child in a bathtib to sit out a tantrum, but she did NOT say that she left her in there alone. THAT would upset me. 2 year olds can NOT be in a tub unattended. PERIOD

Ok, I was just thinking. Bozo and LKB are saying that there was other DNA found on the Duct Tape and that this indicates that Caylee was probably murdered by a stranger. Uh... NO. According to this article:

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,557480,00.html?sPage=fnc/ontherecord/caylee

The DNA belongs to an FBI documents examiner. So, yeah... it was contaminated, but not by a STRANGER. Can you say "Grasping at straws"? lol

"The contamination was discovered after FBI lab workers detected DNA from a girl or woman on the tape that didn't match that of Caylee, Anthony or her mother Cindy Anthony. After tests were conducted, the DNA was found to match that of a federal forensics documents examiner."

morning everyone. i don't post here often, but i want to show you guys what cindy said about kc's pregnancy (bold and comments are mine):

Page 20 Cindy’s statement to FBI

A. …..I trust my daughter. I still trust my daughter.

SB. Yeah.

A. For her decisions. She’s always been and you guys can interview all of her friends that have known her and, you know, even before Caylee was born, but certainly since Caylee’s born that KC’s primary focus is always Caylee’s well being.

Hmmm, let me think – what good decisions did KC make up until that point? Didn’t finish high school, refused to go to summer school, slept with a guy she either can’t remember or won’t name without using birth control and got pregnant, stole money from family members, continually lied about her job. Yeah, I’d trust my daughter’s decisions, too - NOT.

How could KC’s primary focus be Caylee’s well being when KC had no prenatal care until mid June? (see below)

Page 26:
A. …..I mean, KC did the same thing I did when I was pregnant. I introduced the um, I just used to play music all the time to my belly……You know, KC did the same thing. She borrowed all my CD’s and introduced the same thing.

The ‘thony’s “knew” KC was pregnant for about 8 weeks give or take (she disclosed to Cindy in June, per George, it was May). If she cared so little for this unborn child that she wouldn’t get any prenatal care until she was forced to by Cindy, why would she give a hoot about music education?

Prosecution deposition – page 62

Q: Okay, I take it then that she would not have been getting any prenatal care?

A. No. In fact, I went with her for the first time.

Page 63:

Q: What made you suspicious that she even was pregnant?

A. I really didn’t know until after she told me….And I was concerned more about her having, like uterine fibroids or something.

Q. Did you ask her directly, before she ended up telling you?

A. No.

A. No. I just asked her to go to the doctor’s to get checked because I know she wasn’t feeling good.

This whole exchange just baffles me. How can Cindy say that even AFTER KC told her she was pregnant, Cindy was more concerned about uterine fibroids?! She denied KC's pregnancy WITH A STRAIGHT FACE to her brother and then later said that at the time, she didn't know, so her response to her brother was a true one. I believe the photo of KC at Rick's wedding has been posted before, but if Des can help and repost it, that would be great. KC is OBVIOUSLY pregnant in that photo. Not only that, Cindy is a nurse and has borne two children herself. ‘Nuff said.

I think its abusive to even think to place a toddler alone in a bathroom around all the chemicals one typcally finds in a bathroom. Even if the child isnt placed in a tub, there is no protecting a child left alone from swallowing shampoo, soap, toilet cleaner, etc..

There are numerous better places for a 2-3 yr old to have a time out.

Inexcusable in my book....

I am on the fence with this bathtub thing it just seemed odd they way it was worked into the depo. It really was left up to TOO much interpetation. JMO of course. I would still like to know if anyone has any thoughts on LEE. It was said early on when they first brought up Imminuty that LEE knows what he has done. I was wondering if anyone had an idea after reading his DEPO what that might be.

Hi Guys... Me again. I just found a transcript of a Greta VS show that indicates that there was a Gas Station (Chevron) right down the street from Amscot. Also a Sam's club with 2 pumps outside. So... even if Casey did call TL to come pick her up, how come they didn't go and get gas at the Chevron and then go back so she could drive her car home. Not only that... why just ABANDON it at the Amscot. Do we know what her excuse was for doing that? Good Lord.. the holes in this story are so big you could drive a truck through them!

Good morning...
Just reading this link. It's so unbelievable that Ann Downing lived in Apt. 218, same building and Casey and she were bff's and Casey was dropping Caylee off (allegedly) at Apt. 210, same apartments and her best friend nor anyone else knew anything about it.
That in itself is such a huge stretch.

Good morning! IIRC, she told TonE that something was wrong with the car (beyond being out of gas) and though he offered to take a look, she told him she already had her dad lined up to fix it. I don't think she's given an excuse (anyone?) as to why she left her car there... but... I think we all know why.... she couldn't handle the stench any more.

If you read the deposition you will see that Cindy never said she left Caylee alone in the bath tub or in the bathroom. She gave her a bath to try to help her settle. Yes, the Anthonys are really frustrating but why make stuff up?

Something very wrong there, because if I'm cynthia and everything was honkydory as she claims, why on earth would she not answer those marathon manic calls, made one after the other by her MOTY daughter? Wouldn't she perhaps think something was wrong? I wish LE would have questioned her on this.

Yep, another question I have is why, if Casey was home the night of the 15th and George seen the girls leaving in the afternoon of the 16th, why then did someone from the Anthony home call Casey's cell phone at 7:45 am? And records show Casey immediately checked her voice mail at 7:45 am.

Casey was evading her parents phone calls in the morning but something became very important in the later part of the afternoon that caused her, as you say, to make a marathon of manic calls trying to get in touch with them.

Good morning everyone. bballgrl, Casey was flat broke, and didn't have any money to "buy" gas. She likely didn't want Tony to thinking that she didn't have any "money."

I don't think Casey wanted to drive that car after she parked it at ascot. If she really did want to move it with that horrible decomposed smell and all, she would have just told one of her lies to TonE and said she left her wallet somewhere. Very simple lie for her. I think she wanted to just get TonE to pick her up and get the heck out of that parking lot.
If they would have discovered Caylee back in August of 08 instead of December I think all these questions we have would have been answered.
Casey will definently be convicted but not without a very long lengthy trial and a lot of work from the prosecutors. (much more from the defense) From day one it was clear that there was no mistake in who they arrested for Caylee's murder. It was written all over the prosecutors faces.

I've watched that show "I didn't know I was Pregnant' a couple of times and the common theme amongst most that DO NOT KNOW is that they have a history of skipped periods, light periods, and are generally on the heavy side to where they don't show.

Casey is skinny and clearly has a basketball showing. I doubt her jeans fit, nor her tight tank tops. Some new clothes were in order, IMO. Unless she was able to wear loose fitting clothes she already had. That may have worked.

I guess I'm thinking that with Cindy's propensity to TMI (too much information) if she had stayed with Caylee to soothe her in the bathtub why not say so? She didn't need to go into the bathtub deal at all, so when she did, why not go all the way into some detailed explanation as she does with everything else, to make herself look good. Oh, I washed her back and sang her songs and we played with her ducky, etc.

It was so short and sweet - put her in the bathtub until she calmed down. I'm not saying Cindy wanted Caylee to hurt herself. And I'm not saying she left her alone in the tub either, but I just don't know. It did sound to me like she just dumped her in a tub of water and didn't hang around to help the calming down process. Her statement about the tub and the tantrums was so uncharacteristically short and to the point it disturbed me.

How long does a tantrum last? Was Caylee in the tub for 5 minutes or 15 minutes or longer? Was she calming down as the water got colder? Water doesn't stay warm and yummy very long.

Overall I don't think Cindy says anything that she hasn't planned out ahead of time. Especially for this depo. I believe everything out of her mouth was calculated for maximum effect way ahead of time. History shows if she doesn't expound on a point to make herself or Casey look better then there's a reason. She always give TMI when she thinks it's to her benefit.

Still can't figure out why she brought it up. She could've just said they gave Caylee time-outs and left it at that. There has to be a reason she went into the little detail she did.

There's something about that bathtub that shouts out to me. Although the prosecutors didn't make a big deal about it and asked no further questions so maybe it's nothing.

Maybe I'm making too much of it, as others have said. I accept that as I'm not a mom and I don't know anything about parenting. I just had this weird feeling reading it and that's all.

I think she told Tone that her dad was coming to get the car. IIRC

Wasn't TonE a bit in a rush cause he had to get to school? If I recall correctly he had some kind of project or paper he had to turn in by a specific time and running to get her was cutting into his time. I believe he said in his statement, he dropped her at his apartment, went to school, took care of his business there and then he and Casey went shopping(courtesy Cindy's card!) at JC Penny. Casey needed an outfit for Fusion that night.

not only that, her face looks "bloated". i don't recall my face getting bloated before my period, does anyone else? as far as her chest, we all know what that looks like.

and cindy, being the skilled nurse and all, thought kc had fibroids that caused her uterus to mimick a 7 month pregnancy?!

.....sigh..... :blushing:....yes. I do. My entire *everything* changes right before and during my, well, you know. It's horrible. I try to get my hair done around that time if I can (and need to) to try to surpress the 'uglies' that I tend to get.

Also, before I had my daughter I was a size 2 or 4, like Casey probably was/am I'm much older, however, so never did get back down to size). My mom didn't know I was pregnant until at least 3 and a half months into it. Granted I didn't see my mom on a daily basis, it was probably weekly or every-other-week. Other family members noticed I'd gained weight but didn't think it was due to being pregnant, and no one came right out and asked until I announced that I was just before the end of my first trimester. I also tried to hide it a little, like Casey did I am sure. Let's be honest... people don't just come out and say "wow, you've gained weight!" Not even your mom (or at least mine didn't!).

So the reason I'm posting all this personal info is that 1, smaller people don't show very obviously sometimes. I know this because I was small and I didn't. 2, yes, sometimes you can get a 'belly' before and during your 'time', and it can affect your face, hands, feet, etc. And 3, if Cindy was in denial about Casey maybe being pregnant, maybe she didn't WANT to see that she was or could be.

Nope, you are on the right track, imo. This bunch spouts nothing without a reason, especially cynthia. She may have been attempting to set up some farfetched accident theory that Caylee fell in the tub during one of her "temper tantrums" hit her head and died and the MOTY panicked.

BTW, in carefully going over the timeline at the Hinky site, I have come to the conclusion that casey anthony disposed of Caylee on June 20th. Anyone else have a guess as to when it was accomplished?

Thanks Scampi. I guess there's an outside chance that she found nothing wrong with the way she handled tantrums. Maybe she's that clueless and cruel that even if she did leave Caylee alone she has no compunction about that whatsoever. Maybe the bathtub time-outs are a family tradition going back to when Cindy was a baby. I'll leave her mom out of the discussion overall but I'll say she was more concerned about her cat and the electricity when she was being interviewed by LE than about her great-grandaughter. She was very cute and eccentric but I heard surprisingly little emotion from her considering the circumstances of the interview, no fear, no worry, no anxiety. Who knows what kind of a mom she was to Cindy.

I can't figure out why Cindy mentioned the bathtub overall. Either it was just an offhanded comment about something she felt was perfectly A-OK or she had a reason. Another thing we'll probably never know.

And George says Caylee was awake and up, in fact interacting with Cindy prior to Cindy leaving for work that morning, BUT Cindy says she left for work extra early that day and Caylee and Casey were both still asleep. Why the lies!!!

Yeah Caylee was awake and up, had already fixed her own breakfast, washed the dishes, threw in a load of laundry, counted to 45 in Spanish and started to prepare the evening meal so when Cindy came home from work all she'd need to do is throw it in the microwave.

That Caylee, what a great kid. Too bad they didn't appreciate her.

i've found that these people talk all around things and offer way too much information if they feel someone is getting too close to the truth.

could be that she thought she had hinted at a possible cause of caylee's death and then overtalked to try and keep le from focusing on it.

she seems to be taking an awful lot of responsibility for caylee's care - even though she said kc is moty.

I think it was one of her halftruths because she does have Caylee on video reading a book..the one at great grampas in the assisted living place. She just was not with the nanny, but with ggrampa.I also think the statement that Caylee was talking about her shoes may be a bit of truth, because there were no shoes found with Caylee's remains and maybe she was asking for them when Casey took her.Casey's way of weaving truth with fiction and coming up with what she thinks is a believable story.

Cindy's not any different than Casey. Making statements like that as if to convince these people.
Wonder what she would do if someone said, "That's extremely wonderful, Caylee was very gifted. Please provide that video for me to hear."
The claim that Caylee could count to 43 in Spanish is really far fetched at the age of 2. I don't know many 2 year old that can count to 43 in English. Just sayin.

Hi Bett!
I'm expecting with what we all know that Diane Fanning will not be as well informed on the case but have hopes that the gist of the story will ring true ...
FYI I just called my local Barnes and Noble to see when they would have it in and they said Nov 3rd and that 4 copies were already reserved, so I reserved mine, not wanting to wait for it to be shipped. I'm looking forward to this book. Diane wrote the definitive book on the Michael Peterson case, and it was all facts, no embellishment. She saves her opinion for the end of her book and lets you draw your own conclusions first.

I agree. Diane Fanning is a very good true crime writer. I know there are lots of people on this board who do not agree with anyone making money off this case. I disagree. Diane Fanning is better than most true crime writers and she doesn't pay for info. She researches for it. So, even though she gets paid, the A's do not. And that, as far as I am concerned is fine. Besides, I am a true crime junkie and I need Diane Fanning and Ann Rule and Keith Ablow and all those other true crime writers to have at it - and let me read the results of their work. And George says Caylee was awake and up, in fact interacting with Cindy prior to Cindy leaving for work that morning, BUT Cindy says she left for work extra early that day and Caylee and Casey were both still asleep. Why the lies!!!

The first time I heard George's story re the last time he saw Caylee was on Greta's 8/06 show - http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,398490,00.html?sPage=fnc/ontherecord/caylee

Thanks desmom, for posting these links. It has been a while since I reviewed Casey's phone calls. One thing that has also stood out to me, was the lack of calls from George to Casey, or Casey to George. Perhaps George used the Anthony home phone? i believe george mentioned something to cindy (can't remember which statement) and she responded "i'm handling it" or something like that. he said that when he was investing kc's story about sports authority and her not working there, cindy told him to basically back off and he didn't want to "rock the boat" in the family.

Hi Sun!
I was wondering that myself ... and if this is because of the defense's motion to seal jail videos and stop videos of KC's visits which they filed 9/17 ... then there was this:

10/15/2009 A ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' MOTION FOR ORDER REQUIRING PROPER NOTICE TO ORANGE COUNTY

Not sure whether the defense hasn't noticed Orange County or didn't do it correctly but it could have been just one more motion the defense has thrown out there that they really didn't expect to be granted ... more grandstanding??? I dunno

Wow...the Hinky Meter's timeline puts this information together so well it becomes very clear that this murdeer was premeditated.

IMO, she didn't snap. It wasn't a rage killing or an accident.

The searches for Zenaida Fernandez and Zenaida Gonazales the week before the 15th, IMO, show she was setting this all up.

Casey, even with no DNA or Duct Tape, IMO, is toast.

Isn't that a great site Kakax? I really appreciate how they match up the cell phone calls, texting and cell ping locations on critical dates. The DNA explanation is superb, I am so glad someone posted the link to Hinky, it is going to be a valuable reference when this gets to the courtroom.

I did read something about a musical, I think in England was it... about Tot Mom..? I think I can be colored confused because I cannot connect Casey with any type of MUSICAL. And if they manage to think this will be funny- well I hope the public will have an outrage simply because the murder of a toddler is neither funny, or the theme of anything musical. Just my 2-cents. :)

Anythony's are addicted to the media and instead of filled with grief they are filled with greed.

I don't think it is a Musical.. just a play. Apparently it is called Tot Mom and most of the content of the play will be based off of Nancy Grace Transcripts. That will probably be a funny play, while not really meaning to be. It is in Australia.. not England.

I hope you're wrong, but I don't doubt that will be the defense's strategy ... Good morning everyone. I can't get over how slow this board has become, where is everyone???

I have been reading the timelines as posted by Valhall, over at the Hinky Meter site. Very interesting, especially the timeline for June 16th.

http://www.thehinkymeter.com/Library/CMA/timeline.html

Thanks for the link, Scampi. I'm very intrigued about the 22 year old Zenaida Gonzalez with the traffic violations in May '08 and then a Zenaida Gonzalez, an online journalist/bloggist, (ZGo) in Brevard Co, Fl, has her office robbed. The thief takes her computer, which includes her personal info, phone #'s in June '08.

How coincidental! Perhaps one of those things about which we haven't heard the full story from LE. If the 22 yr old Zenaida that showed up in court on 6/11/08, still w/o a valid drivers' license fits the Anthonys' definition of a perfect 10 (i.e., Casey), doesn't that lend itself to pre-meditation (i.e., Casey IS Zanny)?

I know the old adage, don't ask a question you don't know the answer to, but I think it would TOTALLY trip old George up if the prosecution got up and with their first question asked George "What did Caylee wear on Monday, June 2nd?" Obviously we don't know the answer, but the delay in him trying to concoct a lie to cover the question would show he doesn't remember all the details for any other NORMAL day. Or for that matter, doesn't have Cindy in his ear telling him what to say.

Yep, and then try to figure out what the state knows and why they're asking those questions ... like about all the questions about Cindy's hair ... it made me wonder (and I could be way off base) if the car seat had a lot of hairs from Cindy which would be the case if Cindy had taken her car seat out of her car and switched it with KC's ... just one of the many things that made me wonder ... or was it that they were just observing her knowing she was lying about being a "natural" blonde ?? BlinkOnCrime has a piece about Kronk and statement from his lawyer ...
I'm a little annoyed at the fact that the press went and ran with the story and then later added what his attorney had to say ... oh well better late than never ...

Hiya Denjet, I read on Blink some comments about a hair stripper that Cindy might have used. Stripper is the first step when you're doing a drastic color change and want to "strip" the hair of all color so you can apply new. Evidentally the SA wanted to know if Cindy had this type of chemical in the house and she said yes. This is IIRC and I didn't see that myself in the depo.

I'm not sure if this means there are traces of this stripper chemical in the trunk, maybe as an ingenious decomp cleaner or if this has something to do with the hair found or what exactly. Just reporting what I read. You may be able to figure it out better if you go over there - sometimes they get a little bit too wonky for me and my eyes glaze over.

yeah, and the tat will be of little "lost" caylee in a very prominent place so they'll be able to get caylee's face out there whenever they make a public appearance, saving money on billboards, flyers, etc. let's just hope the words "caylee who?" aren't put underneath it.

I think it said most of the content will be based off of Court Documents and Police Reports, with some from NG transcripts. If that's the case, I don't imagine it will actually be that funny. Plus, Steven Soderbergh is directing and I doubt he would make something so serious intentionally funny. Somewhere I read an article that he has always been interested in murder, especially understanding the motivations of child murderers. So I bet it will be more pyschological in nature.

When I watched the video of Det. Yuri Melich interviewing Cindy - the one where she rambled on and on and on with every ridiculous detail that Casey had fed her about the (non-existent) trip to Tampa - I got such a massive headache. It was unbelievable that Cindy put these investigators through hours of that nonsense, especially when at the very end, she admitted that she knew Casey had lied about the entire trip!

I was incredulous! She sat there, using her notes and a calendar, and watched Yuri making notations on another calendar, about every stupid, rotten, lying detail of that mythical trip that Casey had fed her. She was almost in some kind of bizarre trance, talking, rambling, talking, talking, talking and it was all one big fat lie. Notice how she's never brought that up again since the video was released! I can't wait to see her on the stand. That incident, IMHO, tells volumes about Cindy and her tiny little brain.

(respectfully snipped by me)

i've found that these people talk all around things and offer way too much information if they feel someone is getting too close to the truth.

could be that she thought she had hinted at a possible cause of caylee's death and then overtalked to try and keep le from focusing on it.

she seems to be taking an awful lot of responsibility for caylee's care - even though she said kc is moty.

You can tell him Steven Soderbergh also got hooked on this case. A truly great film director with a brilliant mind. I have to think somehow somewhere he became fascinated by the insanities of this family and he's observed the drama unfold. I think this is a personal interest of his, not just some story editor telling him it would be a good subject for a play. It's not just women who are intrigued by human drama!

I remember reading an interview with the late great artist, Robert Rauschenberg, and he said he had 3 TV's in his NYC studio, all tuned to the OJ Simpson trial. He did a whole brilliant series of collages while he was watching.

Sometimes really smart people get hooked on interesting crime drama. It's high theatre. The Caylee case qualifies for sure.

Myself, I got sucked into this case because of the family and their twisted psychology. I was sad about the baby but I wouldn't have followed the case if it weren't for the cast of characters.

Read the hinky meter timeline this morning and have some questions, but the one sticking out right now...Casey had calls from and made calls to an Enjoli. Who is this and why is the name in quotes?

I am sorry I am posting so much the last two days. Never had the time to invest into this like I have wanted to until now and am so far behind and have so many questions. Trying to find the answers myself, but Percocet knocks me out and can't read as much as I would like. Bless you desmom for your links. You are awesome. Actually all of you are. Everyone contributes so much here and I have learned some tidbit of info from just about everyone. So excited I have someone to discuss this with now. Hubby doesn't care, and though Ferret Bueller and Lucy Lu always seem to listen (my ferrets....they are my children) their input is limited at best!

Actually, a poster with the nic "witness" who claimed to be a neighbor of the Anthonys stated they did get tattoos. You can see her post here:

OH, this is rich ... more words of wisdom from Baez about "Tot Mom" play:

"FOX 35 asked Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, how he feels about Soderbergh turning his client's story into a play. He said quote "if its based on reality and not fiction I think its extremely premature because this case is not close to its conclusion."

When I told hubby I was going to ask him to pick up the book, he asked me why I invest so much time into following this, that I didn't even know Caylee. I told him that sweet little baby has impacted all of us, that her life was unfairly cut short and her own family isn't "sticking" up for her and so many of us want to support her. He rolled his eyes and said "women...whatever." Well pal, next time you go on and on about the Red Wings winning, I am going to badger him with "Why do you care? You don't know them!

You may be able to figure it out better if you go over there - sometimes they get a little bit too wonky for me and my eyes glaze over.
ooo, sorry just saw your post, summer!:seeya:
Wow, I didn't think of that, but a peroxide or ammonia based stripper would probably do a tune on DNA ... or at least damage it and would also be something that would be "odd" to use to clean a car trunk for example ... mmmmm

Could also be why she was being questioned so much about doing her own hair!!

Mki interviewed by OCSO. Important points: Believe she saw Caylee at TL’s apartment on the 11 or 12th of June. MKi talks about how there was something wrong with the lack of care and attention KC was giving to Caylee. Talks about KC being in bedroom with TL while Caylee was in the living room with a bunch of strangers.

and cindy, being the skilled nurse and all, thought kc had fibroids that caused her uterus to mimick a 7 month pregnancy?!

Uterine fibroids don't do that. I had two uterine fibroids removed, one the size of a grapefruit, one the side of an orange. My tummy didn't pooch and when they were removed, my tummy didn't retract, either. (BTW this was when I had a flat tummy, not a FLAB tummy.)

I'm still wondering about the bag of groceries Casey had with her from the Anthony's house. She had frozen chicken and POPSICLES. How long would those popsicles last in the Florida summer heat, while her car ran out of gas, she hailed a couple of guys to push it into the parking space at Amscot, called TonE and waited for him to come pick her up.

I think those popsicles would have been little puddles of colored sugar water.

Did someone drop her off at Amscot, after she got the groceries from her parents' home?

How far is the Amscot from the Anthony's home?

If she was following advice from the parenting book, item 4 which was circled says this:

"If the tantrum involves hitting, biting or some other potentially harmful behavior, you can't ignore it, but overreacting won't help your child. Instead, tell her immediately and clearly that she is not to behave this way, and move her off by herself for a few minutes. She can't understand complicated explanations, so don't try to reason with her. Just make sure she understands what she was doing wrong and dole out your punishment then and there. If you wait an hour, she won't connect the punishment with the "crime." (See temper tantrums, page 538.)"

If Cindy put Caylee in the tub to finish her crying, she probably wouldn't finish crying with Cindy there. It's entirely possible that Cindy left her alone for a few minutes, IMO.

Anyone else have a guess as to when it was accomplished?

i was kind of disappointed when i read that short snipped about the new book (coming out november 3rd now?) didn't the writer say that caylee could count to 45 in spanish? that was never verified - it was what cindy had said (although that number changed several times as well).

makes me wonder how impartial this book really is and how "fact-based" it will be.

Maybe she's saying that Cindy claimed Caylee could count to 45 in Spanish?

I'm quite sure she could not, btw. I am a speech/language pathologist and the claims Cindy made about Caylee's language development simply are not true. She did not speak in paragraphs; I've watched Caylee in the video with the book at the nursing home, and she only speaks two words clearly: Mama, Papa. She has strings of sounds, but it's baby talk. She does not have advanced language development for an almost 3 yo.

It's entirely possible, even likely, that she would repeat words spoken on Dora the Explorer (if I understand correctly, there's some Spanish spoken on that program?) just like she would probably repeat words spoken on Sesame Street. Being able to repeat a word is not the same thing as being able to use it appropriately in language.

Also, counting is conceptual--not just words. I don't think Caylee was nearly as advanced as Cindy claims she was.

She shopped for Fusion attire on her Mom's JC card. And ran up a pretty significant bar tab on TonE's coin, IIRC.

And IIRC TonE was pretty shocked at that, and pretty unhappy too. I think he would have been ditching Casey even if events had not unfolded the way they did. It doesn't sound like he liked being taken advantage of.

And if they manage to think this will be funny- well I hope the public will have an outrage simply because the murder of a toddler is neither funny, or the theme of anything musical. Just my 2-cents. :)

Anythony's are addicted to the media and instead of filled with grief they are filled with greed.

It's opening in Australia the same day as Casey's check fraud trial begins :-) And it's not a musical, it's a drama. I'm very eager to learn more about it and am trying to acquire a script (no luck yet, though I've emailed the Sydney playhouse).

And, yes, Fanning did write the best M Peterson case.

hmmm, just checked for her work in the public library, they don't have her true crime books but have some of her murder mysteries? (Heroines Lucinda Pierce and Molly Mullet). Interesting, I wonder what came first, the chicken or the egg? Murder novelist turned to true crime?

Status Hearing - December 18th

When's the trial supposed to start? I admit to not following since Casey was incarcerated. But, I do want to pay attention at trial time. Can someone tell me, or is it even determined yet? TIA.

There's a pretrial hearing for the murder trial schedule for the middle to end of January. There is not a definitive date for the murder trial yet, but whenever a possible date is mentioned it always seems for the summer of 2010. We'll see. I think the defense will delay as long as they can.

For the fraud trial, there is a pretrial hearing on December 18th, w/the trial scheduled to begin sometime around the end of January. We'll see about that one, too. I think the defense will delay whenever and where ever they can, so it would not surprise me one bit if the fraud trial got delayed and didn't begin in January.

I think the check fraud trial will likely change too, don't you think so? I think the defense will delay, delay, delay. A more realistic date for the fraud trial would probably be next summer, w/the murder trial happening sometime after that.

yes, she posted here several times, and I appreciated her doing that. We were concerned that the Anthony family might be making money off her work and she assured us they will not see a penny from it, and had not -- as in interviews, etc. NO $$$ for the Anthonys from this work.

That's disgusting.

And what a rip-off! It's a man-made diamond, so it's a zircon...and they aren't that valuable, no matter how big they are. They're sure not as valuable as a "real" diamond.

I've never heard of this stuff, the Anthonys new monied lifestyle is sure going to be a short one, if they keep wasting money on junk like this.

How about a little respect for your poor loved one -- but NO, George wears her (theoretically) stuck in his ear?

The Anthonys ought to just hang it up and go join the circus, they'd fit in fine there with all the other scoundrels, fools, and fakery.

It hasn't been confirmed that Cindy has a tattoo. Some people claim to see one in the cruise ship pictures but I haven't seen one. If anyone has a clear pic, one where her leg or arm isn't blocking the tat, I'd love to see it.

Their next door neighbor, "witness", has posted here. She verified the tats and also George's earring.

A year has gone by and what has been accomplished so far, by the defense I mean ? They don't seem to have even gotten serious about depositions and having their experts examine evidence ... I don't see the murder trial happening next year and I think anything they have to do for the fraud case will be used as an excuse for not being prepared for the murder trial ... delay, delay, delay all they want, but people will not forget this one ... if anything it will become even more well known ...

Bold mine.

Same here, Summer.

Defendant's Motion In Limine To Preclude The Introduction Of Any Evidence Relating To Miss Anthony's Murder Case

http://www.docstoc.com/docs/document-preview.aspx?doc_id=13098974

The defense sure likes to use the words "not relevant." The State has not yet responded to this motion filed by the defense, but when they do I bet it will be a "smackdown!" There were statements made directly by Casey (recorded on jail visitation videos and in her own hand-writing, as to the fact that she "would lie, steal, ...." to find her daughter.

Of course, I suspect that the prosecution will easily get a conviction on the criminal check/fraud charges, even if some things are not allowed "in" by the Judge.

I don't think Caylee was nearly as advanced as Cindy claims she was.

playing catch up and I apologize if this has been asked and answered..

I understand the video at the nursing home is very limited, but what is your impression of Caylee's verbal skills?

TIA

Desmom, there is a very wide range of "normal" in language and speech development. Problems aren't really looked for until about 3.5 or 4 yo -- if certain language hasn't developed by that point, or isn't being used, then there's a problem.

It's hard (and unfair) to try to assess Caylee's speech/language skills based on that short video. However, it did give an uninterrupted example of how Caylee handled language. Keeping in mind that there is a very wide range of "normal", I'd say she was normal but not advanced, certainly not at the level of accomplishment that Cindy claimed.

Odd though that they think the murder case isn't relevant when Casey herself said she'd lie, cheat or STEAL to find Caylee.

It's only relevant when the defense wants it to be relevant. For example, the murder case is relevant when they are arguing their change of venue for the fraud trial because it benefits them to link the 2 cases together then.:sneaky: The defense can't argue it both ways, and then choose a side depending on whether or not it is favorable for them for a particular issue. Either it's relevant for everything, or relevant for nothing.

The search in Hinky Meters time line of Zenaida on June 12th has been bugging me all day. I didn't remember Casey doing a search then...I do remember a search on July 16th.

On page 9 of this document, it says that the file was created on June 12th...the search for Zenaida was on July 16th. I do remember a lot of debate about whether that actually meant she did the search on June 12th or if the date was actually the July 16th date.

I don't know enough about computer forensics to understand the difference between a file being created and when the actual search was done.

I guess I'm going to have to wait for trial to believe that Casey did the Zenaida searches on June 12th for Zenaida. I remember too many people were saying NO NO the June date isn't right. The search was on July 16th not the 12th of June.

So... even if Casey did call TL to come pick her up, how come they didn't go and get gas at the Chevron and then go back so she could drive her car home. Not only that... why just ABANDON it at the Amscot. Do we know what her excuse was for doing that? Good Lord.. the holes in this story are so big you could drive a truck through them!

Shucks, I almost forgot that Morgan/Mitnik will have another court hearing in January to Compel DCasey to sit for a Depo. Can't even remember that exact date now.

Shucks, I almost forgot that Morgan/Mitnik will have another court hearing in January to Compel DCasey to sit for a Depo. Can't even remember that exact date now. I know what you mean. I come here everyday for all you good posters to keep me up to date on what is going on. I sure don;t want to miss anything about this case. When I think about Little Caylee and that she is in heaven now with God and I think to my self why did some of us not know anything about her before she died. So many people or here for her and had we only known about her and meet her before this all happened we might could have been there for her then.Oh I know it is just wishful thinking but I can;t help my self from thinking someone just anyone could have helped had they known something was wrong in that house. Even some of the family members might could have steped up and been some help had they known. I don;t guess cindy would have ever let anyone know things were not just great in that house tho. What cindy does no relize is there is no perfect family in this whole wide world.jmho:wub:

I looked twice at this too.

Maybe someone who is IT savvy can help us out.

But this is what I see on page 9.

File Created: 06/12/08 11:15:29PM
searchFirstName=zenaida&searchLastName=Gonzalez&searchAge=25

File Created: 06/12/08 11:15:29PM
searchLName=Fernandez&searchState=FL&searchCity=jacksonville&searchFName=Zenaida

The search on June 12, was from this website

http://www.ussearch.com/consumer/index.do?&adID=9999990003&adsource=16&TID=5&searchtab=home

I think the information from the June 12 search was used to create the MySpace page on June 16th.

I've been reading that too, and I can't wrap my head around how she came up with ZG at Sawgrass if she was doing those searches before. I've read that someone named Zenaida Gonzales got a traffice ticket around the same time that Casey and Amy did, all going to traffice court. I can see Casey using the name and setting up a myspace page with ZG name but how does that compute with the apt 210 ZG looked at and Casey knowing about it?

Does anyone else remember this?

WTG Kakax!!! Valhall has your name up in lights over at the Hinky Meter for this catch.

I think it's way too much of a coincidence that the Zenaida Myspace was started on june 16, 08 and last accessed on Oct 14, 08. This is all Casey.

Just as Casey created false documents to show to Cindy, about her "work," it's not much of a stretch to think that Casey might also have been creating "falsities" in regards to ZFG to support the imaginary nanny.

Can you imagine the withdrawal that Casey must have suffered, being in jail and cut off from all phone and internet contact with others?

Yeah, that's what I'm saying, it's not a stretch at all, but how did she come up with ZG at Sawgrass and apt 210?

That's disgusting.

And what a rip-off! It's a man-made diamond, so it's a zircon...and they aren't that valuable, no matter how big they are. They're sure not as valuable as a "real" diamond.

I've never heard of this stuff, the Anthonys new monied lifestyle is sure going to be a short one, if they keep wasting money on junk like this.

How about a little respect for your poor loved one -- but NO, George wears her (theoretically) stuck in his ear?

The Anthonys ought to just hang it up and go join the circus, they'd fit in fine there with all the other scoundrels, fools, and fakery.

thanks, den.

Trying to catch up from last night, but:

The cremation diamond is just wild speculation. Someone mentioned it the other night and now it seems to have progressed to rumor status xp.

Considering how big that rock is and how much one that size would cost, I highly doubt that's a cremation diamond. The previous rumor was that they were wearing cremation jewelry holding the ashes. So what did they do, grab the teddy bear urn (again, another wild idea) gather up all the jewelry and send it to the jeweler to make Georgie an earring? Somehow I doubt that. I am betting on that teddy bear urn, or some kind of urn. Not because it is more tasteful, but it is the least expensive or troublesome.

I am betting George's new bauble, if it IS an earring (and there is still debate on that) is most likely a plain zircon.

Hi Scampi, why did you decide on June 20?

Hiya Cri!! Because this is the last time Brian Burner sees her back the car into the garage, I believe she did the final packaging of Caylee then. According to the Hinky timeline from 3:pm until 6:53 p.m, almost four hours there is no phone activity at all. This is when she
threw Caylee's body in the swamp, imo.

It's also the night of the hotbody contest at Fusion. Having disposed of her "problem" casey anthony was able to dance the night away.......IMO

It really makes ya wonder what the "explanation plan" was gonna be for Caylee being gone long term.

A. kidnapping by Caylee's long lost father's relatives

B. stolen by wolves to raise in their pack

C. the story she used about the nanny

I think we are seeing it now, Zanny the nanny kidnapped her. Add me to the list of those who believe that casey anthony is behind the ZG MySpace page set up on JUNE 16th, the day Caylee was murdered.

IMO.

There's talk over on WS about ZG having used the same tat parlor Casey did. ZG's BF (or former BF) was connected there. Casey could have heard about ZG there.

Of course it was. That's Casey's mentality. Dumb move. She would have done better if she would have just left it alone.

I guess she figured if Zanny had a my space account then LE would say "Oh, there she is...There is a Zanny." :sneaky:

Funny, the minute I heard Zanny and myspace my first thought was Casey even before I looked at dates
Honestly, that's the kind of bad planning little kids do. Like stealing candy and putting the wrapper in their friends desk at school, but forgetting to wipe their own mouth. :tonguewag:

Perfect example of the differences between "new money" and "Old money" . Says a lot about their mentality too.

Morning!

Well I don't think the earring (if it is an earring and IMO it probably is) is cremation jewelry. I've always doubted the other stuff is cremation jewelry anyway. I have no reason for this, I just always had the feeling that when Cindy said George was upset about "picking out jewelry for Caylee's funeral" which supposedly led him to attempt suicide by beer and pizza (pizza of all things, geez) what she was really saying was: get over here and help me pick out tacky baubles from my cheesy bauble drawer so I can adorn myself for the big show. And her callousness and vanity just made him sick.

Just IMO, I think the consensus is that they're all wearing Caylee's ashes and I'm probably wrong but that's my take on it.

I can't see any tattoos in the cruise photos, hard as I try. I sense our poster *witness* is on the level, something about the way he or she writes, and I think getting tattoos in solidarity with Casey makes perfect sense for this family -- but I can't see any tattoos on either of them in the pic. I do see some blurred out something or other on George's chest but it's kinda white on my screen so I wish I could see what everyone else does!
