I am offended and I am not even catholic. Was this a move to draw attention to the show? Is he nuts? He owes a huge apology to catholics. That is not humor, that is downright disrespectful and wrong! Boycott this show.

before you get too offended, you should view the episode.

As a catholic, I wasn't offended in the least. This show isn't always my cup of tea, but in this instance it was moderately humorous.

My remote has an off switch and channel changing button. Does yours?

I think Larry David is hilarious.

I am offended and I do not even watch the program. I would hardly call that episode "playful".

I do not have to accept anything I don't want to accept even if the entertainment industry feels that they can shove anything in my face. I make the final choice, not them as to what I find offensive or not.

Just reading about it disgusts me!

Well let's see how offensive people will be if someone was urinating on the Star of David. I would be. I am jewish and it would offend me. I happen to have respect for other's religions and it was low and if you find it funny, maybe some just have less morals and respect for others. Or maybe you're an athiest.

I used to watch the show, but I don't anymore because I find it lame. I used to like Larry David. But that was low, tasteless and there is no scenario I could imagine that someone could defrend it and find it funny.

I agree. Why do people have to have their faith propped up by "things?" It could have been a pic of Jesus, Buddah, my mom ---- it doesnt matter. It doesnt affect my faith in the least. My faith isnt dependent on a TV show. Its in my heart and nothing will diminish it.

Why do some people think that to find this offensive is because we need to have our faith "propped up by things"?

My faith isn't dependent on a tv show either. However, I do not condone any degradation of any religion in any form by any program.

I do not think it is necessary to make a negative comment about others who have a difference of opinion than you do. I certainly didn't make a negative comment about people who think it's alright.

I don't see it as being about faith or the lack thereof. It's about common decency and showing respect for other people's belief system.

I just have to wonder what, exactly, is so funny about offending someone by degrading their religion? Fortunately, I don't "get" it and quite frankly, I hope I never do.

IMO it was totally deliberate. As a catholic myself, I can say in my lifetime I have YET to see a picture of Jesus hung over a toilet, or on a bathroom wall. Pictures of Jesus may have been displayed in reverence,
a special area. My Mother always had a crucifix and picture of Jesus in the bedroom.
I saw the episode, I do enjoy watching this show, but when I saw this, I thought immediately. Not good, went too far.
How about if Larry had a pic of Auchwictz hung to the right of the toilet and just happened to spray. http://www.auschwitz.org.pl/

If he was looking for controversy, Well Hello! Trying to break some barriers?
I did not like Joy Bayhart show saying "Larry has PISSED off some people because of his show". JMO

This was one of the funniest episodes of the season so far. Without a doubt. Larry did NOT urinate on the picture of Jesus. A little toilet water splashed onto the picture. Kinda funny on it's own but even more humorous when the woman sees it and thinks a miracle happened in her bathroom.

I love Larry David. Hope he continues the series after this season.
