Michael Baden conducted autopsy.

New autopsy revealed bruising consistent with a struggle. I cannot remember what show it was but reporters said they saw the crime scene photos and it was horrible with blood still on the tub. They said these photos will not be made to the public. So sad.

No offense, but Im not overly faithful in Dr Baden's work after the first Phil Spector trial. JMO.

edit - I do think Drew did kill Kathleen AND Stacy though.

After watching Baden's testimony in Phil Spector I, I would want a second opinion on any autopsy he performed.

While he may be good at what he does, he will get on the stand and twist his testimony into a pretzel if that's what it takes to try and convince a jury his client "didn't do it", or slap a "guilty" verdict on the opposition. He sure won't let the medical facts get in the way of his testimony.

He can be bought and has no integrity. I thought he was wonderful...up until I watched that trial. Same goes for Lee.

Victims deserve unbiased advocates whose integrity will never be questioned. Baden put himself into a position to be doubted. Which is too bad for Kathleen Savio.

I do believe Drew Peterson murdered both Kathleen and Stacy. I wish Kathleen's family had hired someone else, whose word is gold, to do the autopsy.

Friday is D-Day for Drew's Road Show (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/32409757/ns/local_news-chicago_il/)

We'll find out Friday if Drew Peterson will be able to take his show on the road.

The request cites the saturation of coverage in newspapers, on television and online which, according to his attorney, makes it difficult for the former Bolingbrook police sergeant to get a fair trial.

But...

He's even taken his story nationally, which sort of makes the request to move the trial seemingly a bit disingenuous.

Judge prepares Peterson jury

*snipped*

A hearing was scheduled for later Friday on Peterson's request to move the trial because of pretrial publicity _ some of it courted by Peterson and his attorney, who went on numerous television and radio shows.

White planned to have 240 people fill out questionnaires Friday. He gave potential jurors a list of 493 people whose names could come up during the trial to see if they knew any them. He said he did not know when the trial would begin, but said they should not change any plans.

----

Geeez....493 names that could come up at trial???

Oh please! Drew Peterson never met a camera he didn't like! The guy smirked and talked and laughed and videotaped and courted the press with narcissistic glee so that his ugly mug and uglier attitude became famous. I doubt there is anywhere in this country that there wouldn't be a similar ratio of know-the-story to don't-know-the-story potential jurors. And here is yet another publicity garnering event - what a surprise. What a slimebag. jmo:angry:

Drew Peterson is and always will be slime. Anyone who likes to hit up on little girls who are 3 times less his age is mentally unstable.
I have a friend who is 44 years old and he likes the little girls who are 20 and 21. He has had 3 in the last 5 years and after a year they walk out on him. They didn't even want his money after 12 months.:sneaky:
It's usually about stability or a father image or just plain wanting someone to buy them nice things. He looked ridiculous prancing around with these little girls. His daughter is older then they are.

I do agree with you to a certain extent, but I think Michael Baden knows his job inside and out. He proved however that he's a gun for hire. I am 100% certain he knew his job well enough to know that even if one suffered a partial internal decapitation (and Lana Clarkson suffered a total decapitation) they would not be able to get up and walk around planting their blood all over one's home.

JOLIET - The attorneys for Drew Peterson invoked the bible, Ancient Rome, McCarthyism and deceased comedian George Carlin, but still failed to convince a judge that the hearsay law passed less than a year ago is unconstitutional.

Not only that, but during the same Friday hearing, Peterson's legal team lost its bid to have Peterson's murder trial moved out of Will County. In short order, Judge Stephen White denied the motion by Peterson¹s lawyers to have the case taken to another venue for the purpose of finding an unbiased jury. White then allowed Peterson¹s lead attorney, Joel Brodsky, to argue against the constitutionality of the hearsay law prosecutors plan to use in the murder case against Peterson.

I totally agree with everything you said. I've said it before and I will keep on saying it---Baden should NEVER be allowed to testify in ANY case as long as his wife is one of the attorneys. For goodness sake, what ignorance!! How that was ever allowed I will never know. Sure would like to be a mouse in their home after a day in court. (or even the day before could be more interesting) JMOO

Drew is probably a little bit worried now, since I'm sure Brodsky was assuring him that he'd be out of jail yesterday. Isn't it great? No COV and the new hearsay law is good. The thing that could put the bow on that package would be having Stacey's body found.

I believe, Stacey's body will be found only after he's found guilty of murdering Kathleen, after he's exhausted all appeals and revealing the location is the only way to cut himself some kind of deal. Even if the deal is just for a more comfortable confinement.

He's a total narcissist, he still believes there's no way in the world he'll ever be convicted of anything, IMO.

Well, it looks like Chase has called its loan to Drew P. We all know that Chase right now is increasing everyone's monthly fees as high as they can until Congress puts a stop to their tactics.

But this, I thought it was news in his case, looks like Drew is going to lose his home. If he is going to fight Chase in a court of law this will drag out until the end of time. Chase is no fool, lol. Even Chase bank, thinks DP is guilty!!

Its only his home equity loan - with which he would pay for his own defense. Now I guess we taxpayers will have to pay for it. Oh, and even when (I hope) he is convicted he will still get his 100K/yr pension -- just like OJ.

Wish he was in danger of losing his home, but it's not so at this point

I can understand why the bank would not think he was a good credit risk. After all, not only is he being tried for the murder of one wife, he is the prime suspect in the disappearance of another!

Going back to the OP and this news article from yesterday:
http://www.suntimes.com/news/peterson/1848923,drew-peterson-lawsuit-chase-102709.article

“They’ve slandered his credit” so that Peterson can’t get credit from another bank, Maksym said. “If he gets convicted because they can’t get his assets they [Chase] might be on the hook for that.”

A Chase spokesperson declined comment.

Peterson is currently being held on a $20 million bond in Will County on charges that he killed his third wife, Kathleen Savio, in 2004. Peterson’s fourth wife, Stacy Peterson, has been missing since October 2007.

Maksym said using your home’s equity as bond is part of the reason to have a home equity credit line.

“Remember ‘Goodfellas’ when Lorraine Bracco puts up her mother’s house for Ray Liotta?” he said. “It’s a classic thing.”

Are you KIDDING me??? Drew's attorney, Walter Maksym, is quoting a gangster movie???

I am LMAO. Seriously. Eyeroll.

I wish that we had a new thread for Stacy. I don't know if she will ever be found, this psychopath learned one lesson and one lesson only: This time, get rid of the body.
When I go over this case, I wonder what areas DP patrolled and frequented. I really believe there is some place that he found out about, a case he worked, something like that...where he could put her and never be found out.
He was such a stupid cop, his lack of forensics showed in leaving KS's body behind. I don't think he made that mistake again, in fact, in an overkill sort of way I think her complete and total disappearance will hang him in the end. Poor Stacy, she was beautiful. I cannot believe someone would steal a plant and her plaque on the night of the anniversary she went missing. How callous and what a lack of empathy.
