View Full Version : ER Reruns
When I was still working 12 hour days in the ED, I never caught the show. Since retirement am a committed follower of the reruns. Love this show and from my years of working in the ED, fairly accurate. I was saddened when Dr Green died a week ago and miss. The episodes continute to be intrigued by the show. Huge fan of Dr Romano. What a hoot this guy is every episode. Anyone else watching the show on TNT?

I've not watched the reruns, but watched it every Thurs through the years when it was on. Loved it!

I figure with 15 years running X 25 episodes a year, this thing will proably be with me to the end.:laugh:
I am suffeering from election/politics exhaustion and need to relax my brain, although, the good news is that those who use the internet a few hours a day are keeping more mentally alert.

I cannot tell you how much I loved that show. They had the best drawn characters one came to know and love (or not).

In 2002, the song was used to powerful effect in the closing scenes of Anthony Edwards' last appearance in ER as Dr. Mark Greene, in the episode "On the Beach".
I cried and cried and cried when Mark died. :crying:

They always used music well--oh that episode, with that song. Makes me want to cry right now.

ER spent more time on the genocide in Darfur than our maintream media.

I watch the reruns. Kerry Weaver is my favorite person on the show.

I have been a loyal fan of ER since the beginning. And I watched it till the end. I admit, it was time for it to go. The past couple of seasons had fewer and fewer episodes filmed. But I do miss the show. It was the highlight of my 'must see tv' Thursday night line up.
I formed connections with all the characters through the years. Loved some. Hated others. Laughed. And boy, did that show make me cry like a little girl, lol.

That's what made the show so great, IMO.
Remember when Dr. Romano grabbed a pen from the nurse {can't remember which one} and asked her write on the correct arm that needed to be amputated? Classic Dr. R there!!!
And to kill him off with a helicopter crashing on top of him!! The same instrument responsible for his arm amputation, Priceless!!
His character was that of a 24k azzhole! But they made the viewer love to hate him.

Nooooooooooooo. Not Dr Romano. This is all new to me with ER. I adore Dr Romano and he is such a hoot. A helicopter crashed on top of him? Are you kidding?? I am enjoying the series a lot.
OMGosh, they just amputated Dr Romano's left arm. At the same time, there is a baby born and an elder Asian gentlemen dying surrounded by his family. Is this show the circle of life? No wonder it was on for 15 years.
